Thanks for the reminder

Just sent our check in this afternoon. We'll be up at Crazy Horse on Tuesday and going up with the gang. Thanks for getting me motivated to send in our check.

E-mail confirmation

Spoke to Claude Boucher in April, and he said he deposits rally checks once a month because the bank charges a fee per deposit.

You can e-mail him for confirmation of receiving check/registration at cbouche@videotron.ca OR cbouche18@hotmail.com

One other thing... Going along with what Gail suggested, How about our friends from nearby regions? Is anyone coming?? Last year's Region 1 rally was really great and it would be great to meet some of our neighbors..... I think we had something like 120 - 130 units last year.. I think 220 is a good goal !!

Update from Claude today

Claude just e-mailed me. Yes, we are up to 30 rigs! He said things are going real well, and as a matter of fact, they are holding a meeting this weekend for the Region 1 Rally planning crew. Looking good.

The rig count last year was 104. I do believe we can pass that number this year.

Express Caravan to Trois Rivieres

Wow! You all have been busy since I last logged on.

My latest count on the Scout Out Rally in Rochester, NH is 15 rigs. Most of those are going on the caravan and we will be picking up a few more members at Crazy Horse, Littleton, NH. The Cape Cod Unit has decided to join up with the New England Unit on the caravan, so I am expecting 15-30 rigs could be our number arriving at Region One. But, who knows!

Caravan to Trois Rivieres: August 22-24, 2005
www.wbcci1.org/ne/TroisCaravan_200504.pdf

If you are thinking of caravaning or joining up with us at Crazy Horse, print out the Caravan information for a schedule of activities (potlucks, happy hours). Also, please drop me a note about your intent to join us.

Chuck and I are headed north to bike week Wednesday night and will be scoping out the route for a lunch stop and possible sightseeing for the caravan.

The more the merrier!

Hosts,
Pam and Chuck Bleakney

That's Great, this will be our first Region 1 and we're really looking forward to it. It'll be great to hear what he has in store for us when we're at Scusset Beach.

Talking 6 1/2 weeks left

Hi all,

It's getting time for all interested members to send their registration in to Claude Boucher. He e-mailed me to say the number is still at 45 rigs and he needs 35 more to break even. So................ he asked me to remind everyone on the forum to register ASAP, that he'd appreciate it.

Thanks,
Gail

Hey Elaine,
Potluck sounds good to us. What are you thinking, up at Region One? I'll help you if you want.

Exclamation "Yup" on the potluck

Potluck sounds great. We need to find out what night there isn't a meal planned for, then we can put something together. I'm in!

Wink I'll ask Leon to bake some pies

We are in for a New England Unit potluck.

I'm not much of a cook, in fact the only reason I have a galley is the Airstream came with it. But my sister has given me a recipe that even I should be able to handle. We'll see!

Maybe a French Bistro/Outdoor Cafe Theme

What about a little French Bistro theme/Outdoor Cafe?

Small tables w/ table clothes and candles.
Ideas:
Parisian Baguettes w/ Brie and apples
Croissants w/ ?????

My daughter works at a French Bistro here on the Cape and I've asked her to see if she can get any of the decorations from their Bastille Day Celebration coming up on the 14th.

Just a thought. Let me know.

Now that's what I'm talking about keep the ideas coming. Have you ever had baked brie drizzled with honey and walnuts and served with a sliced baguette and apples? Stop, I'm getting hungry.
