When we bought our Camper, last fall, we visited Canada on the way home from Ohio. We came back through Cornwall. We did get searched. They asked the routine questions. When and if they do an inspection of the interior, you are not allowed to accompany them.

Our Camper at that time was not registered in our name. We had a letter of agreement from the previous owner to use his plate. They never asked to see it. It took less than 20 minutes to get through.

One note, there was a group that was asked to pull over and be subjected to an inspection. They were furious! They also spent a long time there as a result of their attitude….

We'll be there, hope to join the NE Unit up in New Hampshire on Tuesday and head up to Canada with them. I'll have to work out the details with Pam on joining in with the caravan. We look forward to seeing you all.

Last I heard, Canada wasn't a dry country so I'm sure we'll be able to get all the happy hour supplies we need.

Post Ditto! We've reserved two spaces

Barbara DiPierre tells me we have enough Airstream folks booked that we'll all receive a discounted rate at the Crazy Horse Campground. Yippee! Expect to see forum members "Humoso" (My Dad) and "Myboyburt" (Me!) at the evening happy hours.

"Stay in your vehicle unless you are asked to step out. This will minimize stress for the border people".

No worries there! These folks (on both sides of the border) have a big job to do and I will not be causing them any addtional heartburn.

There's not only olympic pool in the area but a lot of shopping too. A lot of things to do. Just a walk away for restaurant, shopping amusements, etc.

Keep in touch

Claude & Jocelyne (23285)

We all have to welcome Claude(This years Region 1 Rally HOST) to the forum. I encouraged him to join the forum to give us all the up to date detail on the rally, and to encourage our Southern & Western friends to come join us this year. So lets all give him a warm USA welcome!!

So.............Claude, please fill us ALL in!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Region 1 rally

My wife and I are really looking forward to the rally in Quebec. We had a great time at Woodstock last year. Our summer trip, which will start at Springfield, MO to Illinois, Ohio, NY, CT, VT,VA, SC and home again to Florida will take us until early October to complete. I expect the Region 1 rally will be one of the highlights of the trip.

Potluck

It would be nice to have a New England Unit POTLUCK one night at the rally like we did in Woodstock last year! Any thoughts from you all?

So should I be concerned that there is something messed up. We sent in the forms and money at least a month ago and you don't have us. I am wondering how many others have been missed and are on the list. Do I need to start bugging people. I'm really good at that, a professional in fact. Maybe I should just for exercise. I don't like it when I do thinks ahead of time and they still get screwed up.

Signed up and getting polished to go

Sent my check in last week. Also signed up for the Rochester Scout Out and the lay over at Crazy Horse. My five year daughter old asked why are we staying with the crazy ones.... I'm sure she was refering to the campground name and not with the members of the unit

Looking forward to the caravan and the happy hours already!

Post MyBoyBurt and Humoso have signed up too

Leon and I will be there along with my folks. We sent in our registrations and checks a little while ago. I hope I had enough postage (I looked it up on the USPS website).

We didn't get our info for last year's Region Rally until about 1 month before it started, so I'm thinking this will be the case this year also.

New England Potluck night sounds great! I'll get Leon to bake some pies.

Ditto on the "Three Way"

We'll be at the "Scout Out", hanging with the "Crazies" and then caravaning up. Really looking forward to it.
