A great day at the Region One Rally
Lots of folks took a bus tour to Quebec City and others spent the day in town. The New England Unit held a Bistro Night at "generator row" which was very well attended by folks who are here at the Region One Rally. Here's a picture of the New England Unit's "Flamingo Row" (part of "generator row").

Bistro night was a success
We had over 50 people attend our theme night tonight -- Bistro night -- where we celebrated French cuisine and culture.

Another great trip seeing new places and reuniting with friends! The food was great, and Old Quebec City was absolutely beautiful! Looking forward to our next gathering at the Indian Summer Powwow.
Also.......for those of you who missed the VERY INFORMATIVE seminar discussing tow vehicle versus tt with Andy from Can-Am RV Centre, here's the link. He stressed the importance of not over buying your tow vehicle, for it could seriously damage your tt. So.......check him out! He's located in Ontario, Canada.

What a blast that was!!!!! We also made it home safe and sound. Nice ride home with Pam, Titu and Gail and a fly by sighting of Over 59. I think at one point I could hear M &M on my cb but not sure. Thanks all for making our vacation so enjoyable. By the way I have garnets for sale from my gold panning. Would look great in a ring surrounded by diamonds. Thank you Quebec Unit for the wonderful rally and great weather!

Hey I knew it was you . I tried to get you back but you must of been going too fast. We were driving on fumes at that point and were looking for gas before Doug and Andre would have to get out and push us to the border.
I'm looking forward to getting some rest now that we're home, such a rowdy group we were .
You guys are the best!!! Thank you Quebec Unit for such a good time.

We LOVE Trois-Rivieres, Quebec!
Such wonderful people! We had heard rumors that foks in Quebec were not friendly and would not work with those of us who can barely speak english, never mind french but these rumors were WRONG. Everyone we met was kind, interested in helping us and also interested in our Airstream adventure. We loved the many open air cafes downtown and the european feel of the city. The only thing I would have changed (as if I could have) was the weather, it was warm!
On our way home, as we were getting close to the U.S. border my husband told me that we still had a small amount of Canadian money on us and ask me what we should do with it. I told him; "Hold on to it Honey, we will be back soon!". Look out Quebec, your newest fans are planning our next trip!

Oh, The Laviolette Bridge was scary!
It's a good thing Leon was driving. On the incoming trip the bridge was all torn up and only had jersey barriers on the outside lane to hold in vehicles. As you looked down/out it seemed as if there wasn't anything between you and a big drop down into the St. Lawrence River! From what I heard on the CB others in the Caravan were also concerned, I know I was dripping in sweat!

We're finally "back" as well ("home" will be the coast of Maine, for a couple of weeks). We stopped over in Gorham NH on the way back. The trip took forever because I'm still breaking in the new truck -- no driving over 50 MPH.
BTW, while at the rally, I did get a chance to drive the Can-Am rig: Chrysler 300 & 34 foot Airstream. All I can say is, if you haven't driven it, you don't know what you are missing. But that's another thread.
We're looking forward to more of over59's cooking at the upcoming Watkins Glen Forum Rally, Sep 15-19! That man knows how to barbecue a shrimp! Anyone care to join us?

Hoo boy, you might need to duck and cover after making a statement like that. I did search on Can-Am and in reading some old posts couldn't believe how ,um, heated the debate got. I can imagine some forum members kinda looking like this at the mere mention of that name. Let's not re-start the War of 1812 over this one again OK? P.
