Cool

Rallys are COOL! Especially, if you like meeting new people and enjoy talking Airstream-speak!

We have trully enjoyed the folks we have met at the WBCCI & VAC events we have attended in this last year. Especially the VAC'ers! We have met some very interesting folks from all over that we wouldn't have met any other way. We have gleened so much info from their years of experience...what better way to learn about Airstreams than to hang out with folks who have them!

To see pictures of some of our adventures check out the "GlobeTrotting" section on our website....

Happy trails & keep the shiny side up!

Shari

Rallys

I have been to four rallys since joining in mid-2002 and I am signed up for two more. I will be instructing at the Region 9 computer rally later this month and attending the Region 9 rally in Harlingen in April.

Generally, I am not a joiner, but I have hugely enjoyed every rally that I have attended. Even though this is my 4th trailer, I have learned a lot from old Airstream hands.

Rest assured, I will "re-up" when my current free membership expires.

Greetings Brouck!

The well-organized Rallys and Caravans were two of my biggest reasons for searching out an Airstream when I decided to start RVing again. My family's friends who had inspired my interest in RVing were veteran Airstreamers and WBCCI members when I got to know them, and one of my long-time dreams had been to attend an International Rally. I had to miss the first International that I could have attended as I knew that I just couldn't deal with the summer heat and humidity in Huntsville, Alabama without my trusty air conditioner. I haven't missed one since and they have been the highlight of my summer travels.

Most of the Rallys and Caravans permit participants to be involved or relaxed as one wishes to be. As many activities as have been offered at the various Rallys that I have attended, I can't imagine anyone not being able to find at least one activity of interest. There are also interesting people from all over the world at many of these Rallys and on some of the Caravans as well. In my experience, it has been an excellent avenue to learn a great deal about my Airstream and to meet some wonderful people who have become great friends. As a Free Wheeler, I know that traveling alone can be a lonesome endeavor at times; but during a WBCCI Rally or on a WBCCI Caraven, the only time one needs to be alone is by personal choice - - at least in my experience, I have always felt a welcome member of the group.
