I always honk and wave at Airstreams.

I was racing to keep up with Leadfoot Lawrence.

I like the sound of that!. But we know the truth. You were probably catching a nap back there, while I thought I was really kickin' butt up front. And Michael, I did honk. Ron

Well, ok, it's sometime in the week...Wednesday...? the four amigos and the gal are still holdin' on to the desert...we may have another returnee joinin' us soon...Steve and Reg are headed out, but not sure WHERE, yet...it's the only way to do it...make a plan, cancel it, then go...the gods were good, today...got a small Hula Hoop(R) at the local dumpster(PERFECT size for desert golf), and some guy came by and had a pick up and trailer load of free firewood...I just took the pick up load...set for the next week...nice way to start the week...
Hope ya'll are healthy and happy...JimMini: Is Mini back to movin'?...got room here at the AS Acres, but make yer reservation NOW...spaces are goin' fast...
GOIN'...so, when you get a break, it's only a few miles...
BAM, ditto...
Str8ts...also, ditto...
Anyone else that has escaped my poor(but WELL-TIARAED) brain...Where are you...? We're holdin' down the fort, but unless the wagons circle...?
BIG lizards, small bunny rabbits, and toilet paper in the outhouse...life is good.

Gone solar!

All this solar/star power going to waste.
Seeing Scarpy and all the rest using what nature gave um.

Really getting to see what solar can deliver in the real world with a good installation.

And the prospect of used panels within driving distance, pushed my over the fence.

With the help of SilverBear, ScrapIrony, and Brian, Thank you gang, I am currently producing current!

Some finishing work left to do, but no big deal! All the panels are mounted on the TV roof, as is the battery bank.

Reg and Steve, not to worry, I've saved some work for you too!

Scrappy,

I'd love to be able to join ya'll. Sadly I'm sentenced to San Diego by my employer for the last few weeks. The only good part is I'm in the A/S. I pointed out to my boss that me in my stream would save the Co. $90.00 per day versus the Hotel room. So I'm on the water in Mission Bay.

Artstream,

Slick install on the solar. Big array and very well placed.

I am jealus of all of you lucky enough to be out in the Great American Desert.

We are sans AS for a few weeks, got back from boondocking in southern NM, and needed to get a few things fixed. Got a replacemement sky light cover and now need the other ones done as the plastic is kind of sun damaged. Looks like ya'll are still having a great time. How is the temp? Getting kinda warm is it not?

As I sit and watch it rain outside...............

Glad to know someone is having a ton of fun in the sun (I know what that is - I've seen pictures of it)

P.S. Scrappy:

Harry Winston called.

He's wondering what happened to the tiara he loaned me.

Bam,
Tell Mr Winston he can have my tiara when he pries it from my cold, dead fingers...it will be next to the Glock 40...or I could just buy him another...BUT this one's MINE.

Goin',
Nice to have yer home with you...now, start thinkin' full-time...I don't wanna be the only bum lush in tha' desert...

ELOLSONS,
Well, the temps are now approaching 'sting' around noon-thirty to 3 thirty...BUT, I found a really comfortable BarcaLounger 2 campsites over, so the toleration level just went up...

57,
I remember rain...kinda wet, if it's what I'm thinkin' of...I just dump a half-gallon of water over my head, and the diminishing brain quits sizzlin'

The black dogs did their first-night disappearance...again...but were back in time for breakfast, albeit footworn...had some REG carrot cake...OUTSTANDING!!!...had some more for breakfast.
Played myself some horseshoes, but I won, also...
mike
