WHEN YOU GET TO PLAMOSA RD JUST TURN EAST OR WEST YOU WILL HAVE 50/50 CHANCE OF BEING RIGHT THE FIRST TIME
IF AT FIRST YOU DO NOT SUCCEED TRY TRY AGAIN.

HOW MANY TIMES DO I HAVE TO TELL YOU THE INSTRUCTIONS FOR POURING OUT OF A BOOT ARE WRITTEN ON THE HEEL.
AND DO NOT FORGET THE CLAMATO JUICE.

Hi Folks,

Been out of touch for a spell, and just noticed this Plomosa Rd. get together.
We cycled in last week and are staying at Parker Dam. If we were to join in with the get together....do you have a mile marker location where the group will be?

Once your on PLamosa just look for an FCU sign. (usually cardboard w/felt pen writing.) and follow the arrow untill you see all the aluminum.

Thanks Michael. That picture puts things more into context. I'm amazed at all the white dots out there and the vastness of the area. It's like crossing the prairies/plains in the winter and you can look for miles and miles. You can see your dog running away for a long time.

It sounds like you guys are ramping up for a lot of fun - I am SO envious. Next year I gotta do this.

Barry,

Have you ever spent any time in the desert?

No, never been to a real desert like that one. We have one small area of BC that's considered desert but it's nothing like what your pictures show. I'm hoping for next year.

Form 95, there is no WEST...only towards Bouse(east)...there is a brown with white letters sign that says(ok, READS) Plamosa Road, and a green sign that
reads Bouse Community Park...arrows to the right if yer headed north on 95, arrows pointing to the left, if yer headed south on 95...Michael is going to post the mileage from points relevant...we went out there this afternoon, to scope it out, and there is a LOT of room...the 4CU sign will be white with pink letters, and after that yer on yer own to pull in...I was thinkin semi-circle, but park anywhere you want.

Mr 57,
The problem with the bottles is that they are now pretty much plastic, anymore, and this severely curtails additions to the works-in-progress...the lady I visited with a couple of times is getting glass fom garage sales and friends of glass gardens...there is enough alcohol represented in the existing gardens to stupify yer mind.

Mr Tim,
I appreciate the super-delegate vote...TTQ is a lonely aspiration, but, hey, time is what we have, and it IS limited...I can think of other things I have accomplished, but TTQ would be...well...trashy...and, appropriate for someone who still has a hard time believing that he's...uhm...old?

Brothels...sounds like a micro-brewery in the front, and micro-management upstairs..."show me where, and I'll point the way...".

Another beaut of a day, here...it takes EFFORT just to motivate the garbage run to the dumpster...3 hours of lapidary shop are nice, but a drain

Barry,

Try to come visit the Great Mojave or Sonoran desert. It usually affects folks one of two ways.

They love it or hate it.

If you let the desert get under your skin you will be awed by the great expanes. The majesty and the roaring silence. A host of plantlife all of it armored except the carpetof tiny flowers in bright colors. It can be so quiet that you can hear the blood in your ears.

Don't let the first glances fool you. The desert is alive. If you sit silently for about a half hour the desert will erupt in life. First come the lizards then insects small mammals and later the medium and big ones. Coyotes and the occasional bobcat and very rarely and very scary the Puma aka Mountain Lion. And yes snakes from the safe to the lethal. Did I mention Gila monsters?

Don't forget to look up. By day Bright Azure skies sometimes with wispy wind driver clouds and if the season is right. Rich black clouds laden with rain drops the size of quarters and lightning flashing down, horizontal and in bright flashes inside of the clouds.

By night more stars than you've ever seen before. Galaxies and planets so thick you barley see the black of space. You can actually see satelites, Space shuttles and the space station.

Lastly, Quartzsite and gathering places like it are wonderfull of course but you can boondock on BLM (Gov't) land miles from anyone. The desert is crisscrossed with old dirt roads and there are millions of acres in Ca, Az, Nev. that anyone can camp on.

Did you guess I'm addicted to the desert?

Come on down and I'll give you a tour.
