We picked up a bunch of wood for the fire. The trailer is at the house and getting ready to head for the Q on Thursday morning.

Jan is also making yams.

We can hear you Mike...

I know exactly where you are at. It the Burnt Mountain rest area just west of Tonapah. I stop there often when working out west. Just north and a little west of the rest area is Burnt Mountain. My company drilled a tunnel through the mountain and has a canal running through it.

You have about an hour to go to Q-Town, maybe more...

Travel safe and we will see you later this week.

Unfortunately some things have cropped up. We will be unable to go to AZ.

So we'll need to stay much closer to home. We'll be with you all in spirit and in our hearts. Have a little extra fun for us.

Parked and waiting...

Rex, ol' buddy, we are here!!! The place is almost empty. Still got the big fire ring. Mike, with so many drop outs, we should have plenty of extra libations for tipping to the absent...and we'll tip one to you, too. Milo, now I'm gonna have to sip that special rum all by myself. You will be missed, sir.
I'll sit for awhile, then start tying pink surveyor's tape...life is pretty darn good, now.

Hmmm, lets see, snow on the ground (earliest I can ever remember here), Arctic Outflow Warning signs popping up on my computer in little red warnings, and from the blowing snow outside I can see they are not pulling our legs, too cold to go work in the shop on the new axle for the Airstream, furnace working its little surprised heart out in the house, Christmas carols on the radio already, Donna has the tree up and the house decorated, and..............

....you guys are enjoying sun, heat, sun, heat, good food, good friends - you have more to be thankful for than you might have thought. We'll be thinking of you and your warm days, blissfully unaware of snow, sleet and/or hail. Have a good one. See you all at DH

Ready to Boogie

Mike, we will hit the road tomorrow and be in on Wed. Just for ol' time sakes, the weather guessers were forecasting 1-3' for Silverton and 2-4' for Wolf Creek pass in the San Juans. Dusting of snow in Santa Fe and the wind blowing 5000 mph.

With the dropouts, looks like plenty of leftovers - might last us until Spring. Can't go home until they are gone.

This will be Lola the Schnorgie's first full blown 4CU rally. Lets see got turkey, taters, green chile, dressing fixings, adult beverages, fire wood, guess we be ready

Howard
