Greetings - Skip and I will be there for one night on Saturday with families in tow. I don't know if Skip know this yet. We finalized the route for going up to PEI and Sandi and I haven't been home for a few days. I will be letting Skip know (gee, like right now!) Friday of the complete route.

What a nice article...thanks for posting the link! It is always great fun to see a large number of Airstream trailers traveling into a single location.

Sorry we have to miss this one...looks like Bob has a fun roster of activities planned. Safe travels everyone and take lots of photos!

Welcome to Atlantic Canada!

We are the most hospitable people you will ever meet, to us you are extended family and treated as such. Landscape is amazing, changes with every Province. The food, will make your tastebuds want to stay behind...as you are leaving.

Unfortunately, our Argosy is in ICU awaiting a water-works transplant and will not be able to attend. However, we humans (also referred to SOBs) will be there, with bells on.

Looking forward to meeting and greeting!!

Hi Mike;

Thanks for the safe wishes -

Everything is hunky dorey thus far. Package seemed a bit well light - in the front so we stepped her up and link and it is great.

Guess Paula with the Burb had the longer wheelbase - so with the shorter Yukon/Tahoe she needed just a bit more tongue weight transfer. The new shocks are peachy and she handles real nice....

I can attest to the fact that the Easterners are the kindest people in the world - and like no other....

And the food especially the lobster is amazing - and I am sure that we will have several boxes shipped home tee hee.

And with this big lobster sink in the ModPod I can see us eating it for breakfast lunch and dinner....YUM YUM!!!

See you all in a few days...

Annie and Marvin - if you catch up on the thread before you leave - we have decided to turn left at the bridge and run up to the North Cape and then head into the Rally - We spent some time at the other end of the Island and this year the north west side before we tear up the middle at the rally....

Just don't want to spend our whole time in the car touring back and forth - so we will do it at the beginning.

Chow....

Micheal - at Bayside - we want power baby - no need for the 30amp but we will need to run a long chord - to that special site tee hee....you know the one with the chocolate on pillow service I have a bottle of Port in exchange for my special request

"Screech, Sou'easter and Kiss the Cod" are initiation rites exclusive to the Newfies. If you are looking for a "once in a lifetime" trip, Newfoundland should be on your list.

I realize that my Canadian friends are speaking of Canadian Easterners, but it made me recall several instances where Easterners were not so highly thought of. I'm from Connecticut, and I lived in Kansas City, MO for 4 years, 3 times I had someone from there say: "you know, you're not so bad being from the east and all." It always made me laugh. We easterners are pretty ok if you ask me. right?!?!?

Also prevelant in Canada, we are known as the "have not" Provinces. Those SOBs (in the context of Airstream) have never lived the good life, afforded us North American Easterners.

They have my deepest sympathies.

On our way to the cottage today, (mid-point Moncton and the Confederation Bridge to PEI) who did we see?

Airsteamer, #293 ... it was raining quite hard, hope I read the number correctly. For those of you following the trail, these members have arrived!

fyi, 3 point hookups.
someone has evidently posted (per the rally hosts) that there are 96 3point hookup sites, there are only 20 something 30amp 3point sites, first come first served, early registraions, plus a waiting list, ther are a number of 15amp water site, and I belive "washwater" is not an issue
I've got the heatpump on right now so don't fret about lacking 30amp.

I will be very surprised if we need the AC. We'll be wearing our woolies at night! I called the campground, 25 to 30 sites have 30 Amp service, water and dumping.. ALL the rest have 15A, water and are allowed to just run the gray water onto the ground.

Good link Andre, as usual you are one step ahead, I was just looking at that site earlier and was going to post it. btw: water heater installed. I took pics of the complete install and will start a new thread or add to yours. She's all cleaned up too and looking GOOD!! She's at the Airstream dealer now getting two more fantastic fans and sunglasses. I will be ready for PEI!! Whew. oh, TOB, doesn't have a name yet, but he seems to have had a sex change. We keep calling "him"; "her". I can't wait for you and Susan to see her.

The NEU Maritime Discovery Caravan left beautiful St. Andrews, NB this morning and we have arrived at Ponderosa Pines Campground in Hopewell Cape, NB. Tomorrow a group of our caravaners will be heading to Hopewell Rocks for some sightseeing, bird watching and seafood eating.

Our nights have been cool (and rainy). I LOVE sleeping with the windows open and being covered in blankets so it has been just perfect for me.

So, the big news for me is I'm no longer just a passenger. I towed our small trailer today (I had never towed anything before) through Fundy National Park with all it's steep mountains and twisty roads without hurting anyone. It actually was pretty easy, I'm unsure why I was such a baby about trying to tow before........
