It was a great time for a rally this year! When we started, the leaves were just starting to turn, and every day it just progressed. At the end, we were nearly in full color!

Here's a shot taken Sept. 29th from the Cumbres & Toltec Scenic RR. The Aspens were about 70% turned. In the New Mexico portion of the route the Aspens were only about 50% turned. So this week should be absolute peak in NM.

Oh, the end of the storm is still out. WE don't have any right here in the valley floor but the mountains are all deep in some pretty ugly-looking clouds. I suspect that the pass over to Taos and the one going over from Tres Piedras to Tierra Amarilla are sort of white-looking.

Why is it snowing and it is still summer 88 degrees here today and kinda hot....SAM

Oh, that's because we live in the mountains at 8,400 feet, where it's lovely in the summertime, but pretty ugly in the winter! (Unless you're a skier, but skiers are crazy anyway.)
