Nobody at International Posting?
Well,
It seems a little odd that nobody (only one) seems to be posting from the International Rally in Salem. Is it because they don't have access or is it because they believe those of us that can't make it are not interested?
Hey, talk it up, most of us would love to hear from you and your comments on the rally.

TM:
Rich Luhr is posting daily from the International Rally on his Tour of America blog:
http://www.tour.airstreamlife.com/weblog/
so you can get a taste of International there. Or is he the "only one" you mentioned?

OOPS.....sorry
Hey guys, most of you probably will not recognize me, but I'm here. Lots of Airstreams; lots of people. Seems I am busy, but doing what, I don't know. Some of the venders are here selling and making repairs; Zip Dee, Dometic, Atwood, Barker (tongue jacks) and Airstream set up a store with much merchandise as well as repairs. A few seminars going on, and WAY TOO MUCH SCENERY FOR A GEORGIA BOY TO INGEST IN A MONTHS TIME!!!!!!!
One hour to the beach and 40 degrees difference on Sunday as the temps went over 100. The temps have moderated with no humidity. WBCCI set up a network for us so the connections are good. The Vintage folks came in a couple of days ago looking real good. It is amazing to see the wide varieties of people, personalities, and interests brought together by the common denominator....Airstream.

OK,
Maybe two are posting. The other post was from a AS that was justing "dropping in" on the International. I believe they reported about 900 Airstreams at the rally.
Anyone with pictures besides the afforementioned?

I'm also posting at the rally. There's some video up, and more being edited now. Let me know what you want to see and I'll try to be there.

Whoops, see someone else popped a link too. LOL. I'm so turned around today. Been a busy rally. Well, we've done a few fun podcasts so far and more to come!

Rich's blog seems to be down. I'm starving for info, I know a lot of forum members are there. They must be having too much fun to stop and post

By Wednesday, I couldn't wait any more for International news, so I called up there. It sounds like they have so much to talk about, and so many folks to talk to, that no energy is left for us forum folk!
Thanks to Rich C. and Luhr's for posting about their International experiences!

Too busy for words
Here I am, 10:46 PST. That's late for me! It has in fact been that busy around International. You're right Costal. So many people to talk to, so many things to see, that everyone seems spent by the end of each day.
So far International has been pretty good for all of us from what I've gathered. The really hot weather has passed, and we had a comfortable day here. Last time I looked at the board near registration the count was 1003. And I looked around 1:30. I know for a fact more folks have arrived since then.
Now that I'm all caught up, time to turn off the light. If you know anyone seeking WiFi here at the rally they can always come looking for signal in the Blue Section, Rows 8 & 9

Man, it has been just so exciting I haven't had much of a chance to post. I have done a few posts in the evenings.
It is fun to see all the different trailers. You see the younger people with the older, smaller trailers and the older people with the newer, bigger ones. An odd juxtaposition.
I am no spring chicken (45) but the older members sure are happy to see the young ones around. I guess it is all relative.
We will pass on Perry, GA due to time/distance but most likely we will head to Bozeman, MT (or Bozman as one of the signs said) in two years. I guess the last Bozeman rally got 5000+ trailers.
It is an experience that you should see if it is convenient to where you live.

We were there...
Just got home (had to leave early to look after friend with health problems..) but had a good time with over 1.000 "Rigs" in Salem... We were parked in upper right corner ("Blue" lot near Rich Luhr, Rog and Roxie, and Rich of DigitalRV.net, who graciously provided WiFi for his neighbors...). We had to drive 425 miles on Monday to get in with time to get parked and air-conditioned, but even managed to catch majority of Santa Clara Unit caravan which left on Thursday, and so arrived as part of the group.
Put several hundred miles on Excursion cruising over to beach and Tillamook, and Air Museum in McMinnville, and Antiques in Aurora Colony... It stayed pretty warm all week, though not as bad as 102+ degrees for arrival on Monday, with rented high-end generators over-heating... Lots to do in town or surrounding areas, and helpful friendly vendors from Atwood to Zip-Dee.. Airstream set up shop and parts department for the week, and sold lots of useful stuff, from sealant to clothing to carpeting..
Posting a challenge, as there was one small crowded WiFi room on fairgrounds, until Rich C added his own service in Blue Lot. Entertainment each night included Lettermen on Friday, who did much of act from floor with audience, and came out after show to take pictures and sign autographs.. Lots of seminars, though few were repeated, and it was easy to miss one or have a conflict and not be able to get back to subject...
Glad we went, but like Roger, we're unlikely to get to Perry Georgia in July for the 2007 Rally...

Fred,
I was hoping that you would be at the International. Patti told me she offered you her couch.
