NJ State Rally - all Airstreamers welcome
We still have a limited number of sites open for the NJ State Rally. All Airstreamers are welcome to join in the fun. As of today 20% of the sign-ups are non-wbcci Airstreamers. I sent in my check yesterday and am a little confused as to what is the best place to exit Rt. 31. I'm familiar with 31 around Flemington, but Google and Map Quest have different directions. Sal.

This campground is a great place for inner tubing ... I don't want the kiddy ones, I am looking for a REAL truck inner tube

Dave,
Please reserve a site for me. I have sciatic nerve pain but my doctor thinks that I should be fine by then but if not I will call to cancel if that's o.k.

Your GPS will guide you directly to the CG entrance. I will be posting guide signs from 31 in to the CG as well.
I will be releasing the remaining six sites we have on hold back to the CG this afternoon. If you've been on the fence about attending this rally please send me a PM asap to hold a spot for you.
Latest news on the BBQ is that we will have chef extraordinaire MistralBlue smoking the pork butt for us all. The air at Camp Carr will have never smelled so good.

Yes, they (Kaesim & Kylie) are the one encouraging the trip and sucking up so that I can get on my feet like yesterday. It will be a fun full weekend for them with your kids and your usual marshmallow treats .
Joshua.

Thanks for the re-assurance on the GPS. I still never know when to trust it. Looking forward to next week. Sal.

looking ahead
So, when is everyone arriving? How many will be at the happy hour(s) and if we have guests, how much (if any) do they need to pay, and if overnight? Oh, and I'm excited, looks like there is a REALLY good shot of me using my vintage tow vehicle. MPJ

Planning on leaving about 9 AM Thursday. Should take 2 1/2 to 3 hrs. Does Camp Carr have a check-in time? Sal.

Camp Carr is a relaxed place. Show up at whatever time is convenient for you. I will arrive on Wed and will set up WBCCI signs from both directions on 31 in to the campground.
Regarding happy hours - plan on them each evening of the Rally. You can also plan on a Fri night potluck dinner followed by and evening ice cream social and movie in the pavilion.
Sat AM HowieE will be hosting a geocache primer for the uninitiated. As part of the classroom session we will cross the bridge and hunt for a local cache place by the Y Indian Guides.
If you have inner tubes - the river is perfect for them. Depending on depth - kayaks or canoe's may work. We will also try and put together a group mountain bike ride for Sat. One of the attendees knows some local trails.
I am really looking forward to Mistral Blues smoked butt on Sat. The cg will be smelling very good all day long.
Anyway, a full agenda for the weekend will be provided upon arrival.

Also, Sat PM will feature the BBQ dinner followed by a bluegrass performance. If you have friends that want to visit on Sat for dinner and the concert we will figure out a fair dinner fee for them.

Thanks for the update, Dave. We were hoping to roll in on Wednesday afternoon but looks like it will be Thursday by around 3-4pm or so. I hate it when work gets in the way! We look forward to seeing everyone and meeting some new friends. It will be a great weekend!

I don't have a trailer myself yet. If possible, however, I was hoping I would be able to stop by for an afternoon to meet & chat with some of you friendly Airstream folks. Maybe get some advice and see some of these beauties up close so I can get a better idea of what I should look for when I finally go forward with my purchase. Will I need to pay a fee for that, and if so how much? Is there a particular day that would be best, perhaps with afternoon/early evening events scheduled? And would my being there be a problem with anyone? I don't want to be a bother to anybody! I'd just really like to meet real Airstreamers "in the wild", so to speak. ^_^

Getting there
When you are coming to Camp Carr, if you come off route 31 north into the Allerton Road jughandle just at the stop, you will see a 60's Airstream that has sat there as long as I remember . MPJ

Hello Rally-goers,
I am here at Camp Carr and busy setting up for a fun weekend. The forecast is perfect - warm days, cool nights. They are calling for nights in the mid-forties. You will want to be dressed accordingly for the evening festivities.
I am working with Inga here at the campground to figure which rigs will park where. Please let me know if you want to be close to the bath house. Otherwise we'll see you when you get here!
