I know, I know! We were not thinking. We had spent the weekend before boondocking and we should have plugged the trailer in as soon as we got home from that adventure. Instead we forgot, and then when we were heading out to Wilgus we forgot that we had been boondocking only 5 days before and should bring our generator.
Being middle-aged does have some drawbacks........

The rally was fab! Most everyone from WDCU had vintage trailers and TVs. Here's a few pictures.

I remember that event well as I co-hosted it with Linda M from the WDCU. We had a great turn-out and most everyone spent the day on Saturday at the Big E fair. This was my first joint WDCU/NEU event and what a blast it was.

Forgot to mention in my last post that the name of the campground was Sodom Mountain.

Sodom as in right next to Gamora? I do not think I like the direction this is going coming from a woman who is a Miss America impostor.
Rick and I are working on the rally that is sure to become the mother of all rallies. The NEU/ WDCU will join forces to show the WBCCI and any AirForums members that will attend, how we get our groove on. We are looking at Labor day weekend so that working folks will have an extra day to relax and enjoy themselves and the retired folks can live life as it always is. The location is being scouted by Rick, he jumped right on this idea and has really impressed me. I just hope everyone is ready for killer potlucks, pancake breakfasts, and endless happy hours.

Planning
Greetings everyone- As Sandi and I wrap things up here in the office and head up to PEI starting tonight, Frank and I are putting together the joint unit rally. He and I have our unit presidents blessing and will move forward with the planning. It WILL be held Labor Day Weekend 2009 with special events for adults and children, yes we want the kids to have fun so don't leave them home! We are both looking for a campground in the Poconos so if you have a campground you have stayed at and think it will be a good fit, please let us know ASAP.

I like that area... very nice and towing across that toll bridge is a trip too. 11 foot and 4 ton.. think we were close to pushing it. Anyway that is a great suggestion Mr. Mistral Blue. That is a good area because it is central to both units.

Good day everyone! I have already contacted Dingmans as a possible location before I left for PEI and they are looking into the plan. They do not have a rally field that is too large so we would need to book individual sites. Once I hear back from them I will let you all know their thoughts. Thank you everyone for your input and please keep it coming. We have a lot of fun ideas for everyone who attends and would like to see no less than 100 rigs. Events for adults and children and possibly some live entertainment if the facility allows. And don't forget, caamping and making new friends!

I am even more interested now that I've seen the site map. Very cool. Hope it doesn't rain too much before we get there though. They show a lot of flooding photos on the site.
