Welcome to the first Airstream Wedding Bells Rally. I hope knowing what to expect and being able to prepare and pack ahead of time, will add to your enjoyment. Rick & Sandi want to share with their family and friends the fun of an Airstream Rally.
Friday-No matter what time you arrive a hot meal will be waiting for you. On-site or off, all guests are welcome to join us around the campfire for Italian Wedding Soup, Bread and Cheese upon arrival. Be sure to pack a lawn chair and a light weight jacket as evenings get chilly. If you play an instrument bring it along, we have a number of musicians in the club.
Saturday Morning-On site campers will be decorating their trailers in white lights. Family and friends are welcome to come and help in the decorating of the unit tent, where weather permitting, Rick and Sandi want to be married.
Saturday-At 12 o’clock we will be having a Bridal/Bachelor Party for all ages. Join us in playing a number of traditional and not-so-traditional games. A light noon meal will be served. We anticipate this luncheon will be about 2 hours. Afterwards the Bride & Groom will depart to prepare themselves for the main event. We will be in need of many hands to decorate and campground reception hall. This also will be your opportunity to decorate your table for the event.
Saturday- the Wedding Ceremony will take place at 4 o’ clock in the Unit tent. Please bring a lawn chair to sit on. Happy Hour and Pot-Luck Reception will begin immediately after the ceremony. We will have electric plugs available to plug in crock pots and warmers. Summer Casual dress suggested but not required. After all we are “Just Camping.”
Happy Hour is a tradition at all Airstream rallies. It means BYOB (bring your own beverage) and snacks to share. Nuts, cheese and crackers, salsa and chips are always a hit and easy to transport.
Pot Luck Reception-make a dish to share, a casserole, salad, or side dish, lasagna, stuffed peppers, meatballs, sausage and peppers, whatever your specialty dish is.
A word about the Table Decorating Contest--It need not be elaborate--just fun.
We will be attempting to group people into tables of 8-10. You can plan you decorations as a table ahead of time contacting each other with your plans OR throw caution to the wind and see what people bring and be surprised by the results. Prizes will be awarded. The seating will be –emailed to you shortly.
Helpful Hints: Sandi’s colors are pink and yellow, and the flower is the plumeria. An example of some simple ideas... Colored tablecloths, with a wrapping paper runner down the middle Floating candles in a bowl of tinted water Let your children create tissue paper centerpieces.
Sunday- Leisure continental breakfast of bagels and coffee- Good-byes, best wishes, and departures.
Any questions please feel free to call or e-mail me.

It's a count down folks for the FIRST "Wedding Rally" in WBCCI. WOW!!!!!!!
AND......you don't even have to know the couple as it is a WBCCI rally. SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO...............Come One Come All to a NEW England Unit Rally!!! Rick & Sandi would love your presence at their very special day.
This post is also on the private board for NEU members.
Greetings to all our NEU friends! Wow, only 18 more days till the Wedding Day. As per Robin our official wedding planner we still have a few openings in the rally field for anyone who would still wish to join Sandi and I on our wedding day. Robin and all the other members of the New England Unit wedding detail have been busy planning for this first time ever rally! As of right now we are trying to get all our Airstreams in a row and Robin has requested that those who are attending could start posting what they will be bringing to the Pot Luck Dinner Reception so that we can all work around eachothers contributions. My mother is bringing her deluxe fresh garden greens salad; Sandi's Mom will be bringing breads, broccoli salad; Sandi's sister will be bringing vegatable lasagna; Sandi and I will be bringing a spiral ham, pastitio, rolled stuffed chicken and by special request I hope to be making my now famous skeward flank steak.
So, please make your reservations with Robin if you still haven't and keep posting here so Robin will get as much information as she needs.
Thank you everyone for being such great friends and helping Sandi and I make this so very important day in our lives so special!
Rick

Help! I am not sleeping at night, the Trade Wind is so far behind schedule! The hot water heater came in damaged, Vintage Trailer has a back order and we forgot to order the fresh water tank. I still don't know what to wear and I haven't even gone shoe shopping yet! I have the food for Pot Luck all set and I still haven't gone to the wine shop yet! 18 days! Sandi put this big iron ball with chain and shackles on the floor on my side of the bed, should I be worried?

Don't worry, be happy.
So what if you don't get the Tradewind's water systems up and running. The campground has nice restrooms and showers.
Wear whatever, we will all be looking at Sandi anyway.
Oh, make sure you get the wine.....

Do what I did with the Caravel last year when we had no fresch water tank. Block off the line that usually goes to your fresh water tank. Then take one of those six gallon water cooler jugs, set it on the ground outside the trailer and run a line from the jug to the fresh water drain line on the outside and draw it in from there. Kind of a "Red Green" solution, but it worked!

Richard-
Love your idea but I need to post some newer photos of the Trade Wind. No pipes, counters or sinks. Heck no toilet either. I have become an expert at gutting vintage Airstreams.

Whoooaaaa! That's when I would jump right into Plan B. Skip Steps 1, 2 and 3 and get right to the wine. Michelle is right. First things first!

One of our NEU members (a cool, young guy) came to the 2006 Region 1 Rally with his "in progress" project trailer and he only had an air mattress and some Christmas lights inside his rig. He has much more done now, but the bottomline is for the Wedding Rally if the Tradewind is towable then she is ready to be camped in!
