It runs but it is rough. It is already set-up for towing with one of those drawtite after market hitch set-ups. We will need to fix the master cylinder leak that I discovered by chance last weekend when I took the truck out for a spin around the neighborhood. No brakes!!!

Hmmm...I think you have your priorities mixed up...FIRST you need to SIGN UP for the rally...then SECOND...volunteer for a demo.

Let me know if you are interested and we will let you know what supplies to bring for repacking your bearings.

Too bad about your work schedule. Nonetheless, the NEU has a full roster of activities planned for 2007 so you have plenty of other events to choose from. You can find out more information about upcoming events on our website.

Flamingo Decorating

Are we going to decorate the flamingos that we are given? Just clarifying.

That's a great question M&M. You certainly may decorate and bring your own flamingos if you wanted to do the work in advance of the rally. As part of the rally, I'm providing flamingos to everyone so that everyone has a set to decorate. And, even if you do bring your own set already decorated, you will still get a set for attending the rally!

Also, everyone should try to think of a creative name for their decorated flamingos.

An example, using the picture below, could be labeled, "Flamingo Flower Power".

Just a reminder to contact me or Michelle if you need sign-up information for this event. Please do not contact the campground to sign up for this rally as Michelle and I are taking care of gathering all the coupons and writing one check for the campground. Looking forward to camping with everyone in RI in early May. Hopefully the snow will be a distant memory at that time!

Airstream interior design seminar added to list...

We have just added another seminar to the list...Airstream interior design. If you want to understand the principles of interior design (planning the design, choosing materials, balancing color/texture, etc.) for your Airstream then you won't want to miss this presentation.

Very cool! Wish I had attended this presentation before I purchased the fabric for my vallances, pillows and drapes. But hey, maybe I'll find out I did ok.

myboyburt -- I think you and I are doing just fine with our "analogous" color schemes!

We have two people signed up so far who have volunteered to bring a "binful" of wood. Anyone else?

Unsure we'll be able to fit any in the truck as we have the NEU rally tent, sides and coffee urns to bring along with our giant Camp Chef three ring burner thingie (with 20 lb propane tank) for breakfast preparation. Yikes! This is a lot of stuff.

Helpful Hints for Towing

3) Polishing...this is always a favorite. A tried and true polishing technique will be demonstrated using Nuvite polishing compounds.

4) Safety...not sure of all the details on this one yet but I can tell you it is a movie on trailer safety
Thought this link with photos might help with folks setting up their trailers for towing. It is not an Airstream but there are some good general tips. Paul

Slight changes to the seminar list

We will be planning on shuffling the seminar schedule around a little bit due to the incapacitation of one of the instructors. Brian was planning on running the polishing and repacking of wheel bearing seminars but can't now due to fracturing his patella (knee cap) as the result of a bad fall today. I'm in the Lahey Clinic with him right now (got to love wireless) and he is resting comfortably (lots of morphine helps). He is scheduled for surgery tomorrow to pin/wire the patella back together.

Let me know if anyone feels up to running a polishing or wheel bearing demo.

Wow sorry to hear about the knee. I hope everything goes well for him and he's up and running (well maybe walking) soon.
