Get ready for three fun days of events and exploring Mystic, CT. Columbus day weekend Oct. 5 - 8th, 2007. Fun for the whole family, Holloween contests, dutch oven cooking contest and much more!

I'm in! So far I'm bringing my mom and she is starting to organize her recipes already. She'll be quite a challenge to contend with...she is retired and has LOADS of time between now and then to perfect her cooking! We can't wait.

Sending in the registration this week.
PS. How long has this KOA been in operation? I didn't know there were any KOA's in CT.

On the way home from Perry we stopped at Cabela's in PA to pick up new cast iron cookware. Now I will have to really practice for your rally....I don't know how to cook over a fire!!!!

OK- Ribbons are being awarded for the dutch-oven cooking contest, best costume awards and best decorated trailer award. Lots of opportunitites to win ribbons at this rally. Of course the trailer (NEU Member) with the most ribbons at the end of 2008 wins a grand prize award! So when ever there is a contest or friendly competition at a rally, ribbons are available to be awarded.

Sara has her desert picked out for the Dutchoven Contest, Jody and Jen are bringing their secret weapon, Jen's son Ken. He is an Eagle Scout and has perfect many a Dutchoven meals in the wild.

This should be a great event. I'm bringing a 10" and a 14" Dutchoven so if someone needs to borrow one let me know. Also bringing 12" vintage cast iron frying pan which has is beautfully seasoned.

I will not be attending, because I will be at the 4CU Meteor Crater Rally this weekend. I will be making a cherry cobler in a dutch oven. Can I mail some for my entry?
