Myrtle Beach Winter Rally thats not a Rally, Really

The VAC of Region 2 and the WDCU would like to announce “The Myrtle Beach Winter Rally, that’s not a Rally, Really” to be held at the “Ocean Lakes Campground” December 26th 2009-January 3rd 2010.

ALL AIRSTREAM OWNERS ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND WBCCI OR NOT

This event started a couple of years ago when my family started going to Myrtle Beach during the week of Christmas. The weather is still warm people can join the “Polar Bear” club New Years day, and take in one of the many shows during that week in Myrtle. All the good food places are still open and the campground is not crowded.

Here’s link to the to the Region 2 VAC site for if you would like to read about our trip last year.

http://www.region2-vac.com/

FYI, this is a “Rally that’s not a Rally Really” but more of a bunch of people just hanging out, so don’t expect coffee, doughnuts, we my have a couple of happy hours and a “Spaghetti Dinner” on December 29th in celebration of our daughter 8th birthday. Come, hangout and RELAX!!

You can make your own reservations at the campground
http://www.oceanlakes.com/
Ocean Lakes Family Campground • 6001 South Kings Highway • Myrtle Beach, SC 29575
Campsite Reservations: 1-877-510-1413 • Rental Reservations: 1-800-845-2229 • Main Office: 1-843-238-5636

We will be down on the front row, beachside. If you have any questions send me an email info@region2-vac.com or PM me. I think we are on site #2134

Great 2009 Memories

It was freezin' a$$ cold 2009 New Year's Eve, but we had plenty of stuff to keep us warm.

I would love to go this year but can't nail the particulars down. If something changes I'll be there.

Hi Jane,

The other couple is Mark & Debbie Hammer, he's also working on a 3rd rig.

We're may be headed to St Mary's, Ga for 2-3 days then onto the Topsail rally in the panhandle

Glad to see some of you will be joining us for the fun. Myrtle Beach is really very nice that time of year and the campground is not packed like it is in the summer. We also rent a golf cart for the week(very cheap to do so). Between the indoor pools, outdoor playgrounds for the kids, shows, Myrtle Beach Aquarium, Build a Bear Workshop, etc.... it's a great place to go and just chill for the week(that's what we plan to do). The V-Girl learned to ride her bike there last year(without training wheels) and has been known to take a dip in the ocean during the day.

See down on the "Front Row",

Hey Paul, we met in the little camp ground after Perry if you recall.

Didn't know there was an indoor pool!!!

Sounds like a nice spot on the ocean

Someone moved that tree in my way, I'm sure of it!

I worked it some more, looks pretty good, I was going to replace the whole panel but you tell me when you see it!

Signed Up

We're coming down from the New England Unit. Along the way we're meeting another member in CT. There's a possibility of two more rigs from the NEU. We hope they'll leave Christmas day with us. We should arrive on 12/26, weather permitting.

Should we bother booking our spots for this time of the year?

I would think they are pretty empty.

If I'm wrong what range of numbered spots should we do?
