Egads, I don't care HOW bad that '58 Impala is, anything can be fixed!!!! I have to make sure Donna does NOT see these pictures before I convince her she needs to drive us there next spring . Of course once we are there and she sees that it's repairable she'll probably WANT me to get it home . Oh sure, she may not say it, but I'll know by her body language. When she gets all quiet and doesn't answer when I say "now wouldn't that look great in front of the Flying Cloud" I know it's just emotion and she's hiding her joy.

I suspect if I even ventured the thought of bringing another car home in that shape it would take the police a long time to find my corpse buried somewhere in that very large crater.

Great pictures guys. Wish we'd of been there.

A cowl tag for a '38 Pontiac Woody? Now that's a treasure.

Barry,

The tag was attached to the cowl. Complete from frame to above the winshield. With the front seat portion of the floor boards and hinges.

Gosh, it wouldn't take much to build a car out of what you got. Well, okay, it would take much, but the results could be stunning - and worth a ton of money if you ever did decide to sell. I know, sell is a four letter word but now and again it happens.

I just happen to be looking at a picture now from Rainforest Legacies on Vancouver Island and they have a late forties or very early fifties woody. It's neat to see non-Ford/Chev woodies.

We have somewhere between 1,600 and 2,000 cars showing up here on Saturday for a car show so it will be neat to see what is there. I'll guarantee you there won't be any thirties Poncho woodies.
