The Iowa Unit of WBCCI Rally will be September 11-14 at Scott County Park, Long Grove Iowa. The Park is located about 11 miles North of Davenport off of US 561. (old 61)

"Be Prepared"Boy Scout motto. With the weather forecast being Rain and cold it will be an interesting rally. Bring clothes appropriate and something to warm your innards. A couple of logs for the fire would also be useful. See you when you get here.

How's the Region 5 rally going? If it had not been for sponsoring this rally, I would have gone to yours.
There is a rally at Lowden SP Columbus Day week end. It's a Forum Rally.

We're unable to attend the region 5 rally due to a family commitment.

We plan on attending next year when it is in Goshen IN at the fairgrounds. I was there in May of this year for an Escapees Escapade.

John, Thanks for the response To Hibby's Question. Here in Scott County I haven't seen any birds.

Dave, it must be me, rain, rain and more rain. At times it felt like sleet. It blew the 10x20 canopy that we use for meetings down and broke some of the poles. It is 41 degrees here, colder than... The camp fire felt good.
Suppose to warm up to the 50's in AM.

Park gate is closed for the night. Seriously. Closed. Park ranger told us to come back tomorrow. Headed south for the night. Propane tanks are full, and we brought warm clothes.

VERY VERY IMPORTANT NOTICE:

As many of you already know, the August rally, scheduled for the Outback RV Park at Tama has been moved to the Meskwaki Casino Campground. Outback has not been kept up, the building has deteriorated and the charge of $135 per day to use the building was thought to be exorbitant. In light of this, the hosts moved it to the casino. A block of 25 spaces has been set aside for our unit. However, with only 49 total spaces and vendors and other visitors for the powwow also wanting spaces and since spots are reserved on a First Come - First Served basis, it is IMPERATIVE that we all get our reservations made as quickly as possible; like yesterday. The nightly cost is $15 plus tax and a reservation will assure that you have a space. Nothing will be charged against your credit card until arrival, so the card just guarantees you will have a space when you get there. The spaces are level and paved with electricity only. Water and a dump station are available. Call 800-728-4263 and tell them you are part of the Iowa Airstream Group. A space will be assigned to you and you will find out what that is when you check in at the campground office. The rally dates are still the same; August 10-13. If you need to cancel due to illness, accident, etc., simply call the same number and cancel your reservation. No charges will be made. This is a Buddy Rally, so, if you are calling for your reservation, you will either have to register your buddy or you will have to get them to make their reservation very quickly, too. More information and directions to the campground will be forthcoming in a future newsletter. However, since camping spaces are limited and filling rapidly, you need to make your reservation immediately.
