Yes, my wife, daughter and I plan on attending our first International rally leaving from St. louis this weekend. We have always wanted to go to Vermont and are looking forward to it.

We are also leaving this weekend and this is our first "official" Airstream rally. It should be interesting.

International Rally

This will be my sixth consecutive International Rally. My schedule called for being on the road two days ago, but both the trailer and towcar had other ideas. The trailer was finished yesterday so all that remains to be done is packing. The towcar needed a new axle which with any kind of luck will be completed within the next 48 hours. After an emergency call to my dentist, I should be able to get on the road by Friday at the latest.

RE: Attendance at WBCCI International Rally by non-members

It is possible to visit the rally grounds without being a member, but in order to attend most activities, it is necessary to have a WBCCI membership badge to gain admission. It is also necessary to be a member in order to park your Airstream RV on the Rally Ground - - unless things have changed, the price is the same whether you are there for two nights or for the entire run of the rally. You are welcome to join WBCCI at the time of rally registration - - the last two Internationals that I have attended, the people ahead of me at registration were joining WBCCI as well as attending their first International Rally.

RE: Parking Schedule

I haven't seen an official schedule, but typically, general membership parking can be arranged during the 72-hours preceeding the start of the Rally. That would indicate that June 25 would probably be the earliest - - I know the VAC parade into the rally is scheduled for June 26 so that is a good indicator that parking would be a possibility.

I am really looking forward to this rally as it will be my first venture into New England. I had already toured extensively in the areas of the prior six rallys to was already familiar with much of what was available. To make things more interesting, I will be towing my 25 year-old Argosy with my 28 year-old Cadillac Edlorado convertible.

Kevin

they told me that they usually offer "day passes" for a nominal fee for folks that just want to visit....couldn't tell me exactly how much, though. That's what I'm planning on doing. I hope. that is, if I can find some other place to park for a couple of days. haven't had time to search, though...maybe later today.

we should try and "hook up", though.

Hi everyone,

Has the "Open House" time been determined yet? What would be a good time for the general public to visit the rally, specifically to check out the vintage trailers?

Many thanks!

chuck, I am staying at the Brattleboro KOA Friday night before the rally. It is about 150 miles from the rally but it might work if you can't find anything closer.

well, to be honest with you, I was kinda hoping to get a little bit closer than that. LOL!!

Funny you should mention, though...I have family very near Brattleboro, and there's a "thing" I have to go to this weekend. Originally, they told me it was on the 29th, though, so my original plan was to go there, stay overnight, then drive up to Burlington on monday. Then I got the corrected date...

anyway...Brattleboro is hardly any closer to Burlington than my house in Eastern MA is. Its about a 3hr drive to Burlington from Brattleboro; about 3.5 hrs from my house.

open house

Jay,
The Vintage Airstream Club has an open house I believe on Sun. 6/29, 1-3:00p. You can check out other events on the VAC web site:
