I would love to be a judge! Jamie and Robin, do you need me?

Can you explain the "Kids Barbeque" and the "Kids Favorite Foods Potluck"? I am assuming this is for the kids only and us "big kids" can grill our own meals but eat together? Is that right? We like cooking our own stuff, so that's cool with us.

Do you still need pumpkin carving judges? I can volunteer if you like. That means I have to get it together on the hat thing. Let me know. (I think Elaine would be a great judge too!)

Oh, Great Pumpkin

Robin, Great job on the description. You and Jamie have put together a wonderful weekend and we can't wait to join you. I am getting my lights and decorations together now!

I think I am more clear on the food....I am going to revisit some of my "kid" cookbooks for kid friendly recipes....we'll see what we can come up with....are "ants on a log" okay for happy hour? (Chuck's favorite).

Check In Time

For all who may be wondering, and a few are since it is neither in the brochure nor on the web site, check in time at the campground is 1:00 in the afternoon.

We are SO looking forward to the rally! It will be our first and sounds like a LOT of fun. I wish we could stay for all 3 days, but I can't take Monday off - got a deadline to meet (been working some evenings just so I can make up time as it is!). So, it will be a wonderful weekend. Can't wait to meet you all! (that's a New England you all , not a southern "y'all"!)

Thanks, on Sunday for the "Eggs-in-a-Bag breakfast we might want toast to go with the eggs. It is always a challenge to get a large number of slices so people don't have to wait. On that note rather than simply ask people to bring their toasters...BORING..... and in honor of the first Youth Rally I have arranged for us to have the "BURNING BUNS FIRST EVER TOASTER COMPETITION" One toaster entry per family. You may use our bread OR if you prefer to begin training with your toaster now and use the bread in the competition this will be exceptable. Catgories will include "Vintage Toaster", "Classic" and "White-Sided Bodies". The idea of course is to provide the perfect slice of Toast in the most efficent time-frame. Multi-plug strips will be provided. Polishing is permitted in the Vintage and Classic divisions only. The Underbelly" will be part of the inspection in the vintage and classic division only. Smoking toasters will result in immediate disqualification.

Oh, I'm so upset. Our toaster is a "white box". I hope people will still want to hang out with us......

Chuck,

Does this route have any height restrictions or road concerns if we are driving a MH with a tow vehicle?

Thanks,
Jeff

BTW-we could use newspapers to cover the picnic tables so if you could start saving that would be great.

Also ithe Pumnpkin Carving Party is going to be a cider and donuts traditional fall party theme but if anyone would like to make rice-crispie treats or what ever that would be great. We are also inviting the children of the campground owners AND Jamie and I have a philosophy "no child left behind" any child seen looking in should be invitied in to join us so extra everything is appreciated.

Robin

Is the pumpkin carving contest just for kids or is there an adult one also????

Do we need tables, chairs, or will there be picnic tables?

Might have more questions, but these are the ones I am thinking of now!

Thanks,
Kristine

Candles?

Will there be candles to light the pumpkins or safer, those tea lights that were used for the lanterns at the Alumination Celebration or should we plan to bring our own?

Thanks!

Kristine

The one with all of the answers is all tucked in now, but will surely have the answers tomorrow. I do believe we have a bag of tea candles packed in the truck already.

As of right now, I am certain that RALLY RADIO will be broadcasting throughout the campground at bedtime with Alfred Hichcock Ghost Stories For Children and old time radio horror stories, music of various types, Halloween sound effects and lots of silly stuff at various time during the day and night.
Frequency still unknown but possibly 106.5 FM.
