Stopped over for a night in early may. Enjoyed a leisurely dinner and the "fancy cowboy bar" and saw this at Kevbo's favorite Feed Store.

Waiting for next Feb. for another winter/summer feel rally.

For those of you who don't know, Richard's fly is called a Peacock Lady. Made famous in the White Mountains of Arizona. Never leave home without them.

When is the 08 Rally?

This year we did a drive-by at the rally but did not bring the Airstream or even talk with anyone; not antisocial, just takes some a while to talk and I was only there a short time. I aim to make amends this year and the wife wants to go along. Might even bring the kids and the Airstream.
By March the moss gets thick in the head so we get the urge to go southwest old man; the sun makes the old bones feel warm.
Of course that means getting going on with the resto-novation.
Talking about the April fools Rally.

Y'know,
We could develop a year-round rally schedule which requires gradual moves from one site to the next...no immediate rush...just a gypsy camp kinda thing with unplanned stops kinda worked in to the no-time schedule and time off to one's self when needed or wanted...we could all buy Airstreams and form a club and...hey...this ain't Topeka...where're my red pumps?
TRYING to leave...got the carb fuel filter replaced this morning...after I crawled under the rig to hit the starter solenoid with the blunt end of a piece of rebar, then couldn't get the RPM's over 1200...Would anybody like to borrow Murphy for a year or so...?
Where else but this country can you bit** about your MH (parked in front of your stationary structure) not running well.
I woke up this morning...that's a GREAT start...I ate something with a cup of coffee...GREAT, again. I ate lunch, walked around, was able to turn a wrench(I own some), and I can whine about it over supper...WHAT A COUNTRY!!!
OK, I don't know where the soapbox came from, but it's mine...
