Barry because your a kindered spirit I'll make the sacrifice and have several "hoists" for you.

Thank you Goin

I appreciate the "sacrifice" you'll be making.

Yeah, we're hoping for some camping time in '08. If nothing else, we'll do our best for Bozeman, but hopefully by February or March we'll have the wheels on asphalt.

You enjoy yourselves.

Barry

Barry,

We have been seriously considering going to Bozman as we have the week of July 3rd off. Have you been to one of these before?

Nope, never been to anything exclusively Airstream. Actually the only place we've camped where there were other Forums or WBCCI members has been at the Deming, WA TCT event held in August. We sure met some outstanding folks there and it was one of the reasons we got even more enthused about joining the WBCCI.

I'm hoping we can do the big one. I really want to get to a 4CU event if I can first though just to get to meet some folks before the big event.

Mind you, I'm almost creating my own little group here. We bought our '51 in 04 and since then a buddy who tows with us and uses a '54 Ford wagon has lusted after one. I found him one last May and he acquired it, built just before mine and almost identical but not titled till '52. Then another buddy who also has a '57 Pontiac but a 2 dr sedan pulled it out of hibernation and is in the process of acquiring a '53 this week. So I would anticipate that there would be three of us heading the Bozeman at least which would make the towing a bit less of a concern for Donna who is currently the designated driver. She does well when traveling with others but gets a bit nervous when she's on her own for some reason - I'm sure it has NADA to do with the co-pilot providing mile by mile coaching.

So, at the worst we are shooting for Bozeman, at best, a Forum or two event prior to.

Merry Christmas.

Mile by mile or meter by meter???

Barry, Living in So Cal we get to go to many A/S only events but even though I've heard good and bad about the International I want to go to one. Even if it's horrible the Mrs. and I will have a good time as thats our nature.

You'll know its me when a loud voice outside your trailer says.

"What kind a nut pays to ship an old Airstream like this overseas from Canada?"

Mr Safari,
Ya'll have a Merry Christmas, and we'll help tip a couple (or ten or twelve)
to you...heck, we'll even burn a pallet or two in your honor, and throw a copper pipe-n-garden hose in. Was there a particular brand of brew you wanted tipped?

Thanks folks. Just something that warms the belly a bit, doesn't "complicate" dinner and compliments a relaxing evening of good conversation around the campfire

As long as it's not the stuff that causes people to see stars racing across the middle-of-the-night sky while they are "out walking the dog" .

Merry Christmas

Barry

We're trying to make it!

Ken,
Trying to get some time off but I won't know for sure for a day or two. We hope to join ya'll if you have some room. This run is a close 5 hours from us and the company of the 4CU is hard to pass up. We'll prep the TinDen for a quick-launch just in case.
We'll be in touch. To you and yours, have a safe holidays.

I just got back from another run down to Tucson and stopped at the park on the way back. The area was locked but from what I could see it is a great rally site. If you arrive early they will let us stay in the loop if no one else has reserved it. No one has reserved it before us yet. The closest firewood looks like it might be Mariana which is about 15 miles down the road, however the park sells bundles for $5 and if we pass the hat we should be good to go. One interesting thing is located on the entrance road to the park. It's the Arizona Nut House. It's kind of fitting, don't you think?

Looks like that sign might burn.

I have a bunch of wood from two trees that went down this year. I'll toss it in the truck.

Early arrivals part #2

There is one parking/trailer site we need to leave open. It is the first site in the first parking area (most SW) as you enter the quail loop. It has the only standard RV electrical hookup box. It is reserved for people with disabilities and probably won't be energized anyway. We can get it turned on by the rangers if we have an attendee that needs it. Also when I opened the box to check it out a tarantula in there was as surprised as I was. So open any electrical boxes in the ramadas carefully. One other request is to leave the site open at the opposite end of the first area for yours truly the rally hosts. Less then a week away!!! Yeehah!
