He's probably been Air-Jacked going past another CG. They'll let him go NYD.

I hear it happens a lot down that way. People just know Streamers are party hardy kind of folks and therefore come well equipped.

Have fun,
Barry

The M Ball finally made it along with Richard and Jan in tow.

I came back a day early because of a prior committment this evening. Thought I would post a few pictures of this great rally put on by Ken and Linda. We all had a great time. A few advernterous souls hiked to the top of the peak and were demanding libations upon they're return. Day temps were on the chilly side and the evenings were on the cold side. I woke to 38 degrees in my trailer on Saturday morning. We were all spread out in the Quail loop and it was nearly impossible to get most of the trailers in one shot. I'm hoping those adverterous ones will post pictures from the top.

What a fantastic way to hook up with 4CU friends and a few newbies too. I'm sure there will be other posts and pictures to follow. Thanks all.

Happy New Years.

Brad

Great pictures Brad, thanks for posting them. I'll be watching for more.

This camping vicariously is the pits but soon enough .....

38 is cool? I guess it's all relative .

Happy New Years to all

Look forward to meeting everyone at one of the rallies in 08.

Thank you to everyone in the 4CU. My parents and I had a great time. It was nice to hang out with fellow airstreamers. Maybe next time my better half wont have to work. I think she would have also had a great time.
I hope everyone has a prosperous and Happy New Year.

Thanks again for everything

Kanon,
It was great to meet you and we all loved your trailer. Based on the serial number and the size, I am going to say that it is a 1953 25' Cruiser made in California.

Here is a link to some photos: 53Cruiser

You folks did a great job, great rally. We really enjoyed it, our first 4CU rally. Wonderful bunch of folks. The Airstream Open House was a neat. Hope to see everyone in Deadhorse in February.

This was a great way to ring in the new year. Thanks to our hosts Ken and Linda.

Here are a few pictures from our trip to the Ostrich Ranch which was located just down the road.

Yet another 4CU success story...it was great to meet the new visionaries and the rest of you old varts...ken&linda:GREAT RALLY!!! if you could kinda smooth over the edge-over onthe peak climb, richard might join you, next time...I, on the other hand, will await ya'lls return at the campfire, egged on by tracy.........................a Great event, attended by GREAT folks, hosted by possibly GREATER folks...DH2 is in the immediate future, and we will repeat all pleasures but the vertical climbs and drops...I sincerely hope everyone enjoyed this one as much as we did...it was great to have 'children aboard'...thanks for sharing their growth...I would still appreciate that vote for TTQ* next year...in the meantime, please keep in mind that a rally in SILVERTON will be posted as soon as I can find and nail down the new CAMPHOSTS...it is not too late to reference your preferences for WHEN...4 July is out, but late summer/early fall is ON...I plan on an RV park placement, but only because the National Park Campground is usually booked 2 years in advance, despite what actual denials are claimed...once again, does anyone require special access? Since we are in-tow accessible hostages, we can offer limited access(no sewer), best water in the world (best-you'll-ever-drink), best views, and actual 120 V Hook-up(but only one at a time...)and June to September is the time we usually 'domesticate' the domestication ...you want color change...? we got it...4WD...?yep...train ride?...ok...snow? always a possibility...fun?...ah, well, OK!!! Wanna be bored shirtless?...move to somewhere else...time is an important factor, so send us your time choices, toot-sweet, and we'll cull and post, collect, and postcard after we get far enough south...thanking ya'll in advance...mike&tracy

Silverton area rally

Mike & Tracy,
Regarding suggestions for your Silverton area rally, might I suggest Lizardhead Pass on Hwy 145?

It is sort of in the Silverton area and has these advantages;
Free
Huge amount of space, nice grassy meadow
Good mtn. bike and 4WD trails
Access roads are not as steep as compared to Silverton
Only 12 miles from Telluride
The July 4th weekend would be possible
Did I mention Free?

Jerry
