Mid week are the flying competitions.

The balloons must launch from off field hopefully directly up wind
from the prize poles on the field.
The pilot is disqualified if he hits the ground.
I admire how well you guys planned the weather - here we are, a week out, and it is blowing a pluperfect gale here in Chinle (not that far away, as the crow flies). If this weather had waited a week, we'd all be hunkered down in dive bars rather than watching balloons.

We are on the road! Drinkin' cold ones in beautiful Needles CA. Parked along side the Colorado River. Saw a Safari on the way here. Maybe a 23' pulled by a white Dodge w/Colorado plates. Passed right by us without a honk or a wave. Wow. Not an airstream guy, just a guy with an airstream. Anyway, we're happy to be on the way. Scrap: I like the idea of keeping the beverages cold. bring the EZ-up. Speaking of cold beverages, brb. Ron
