Can't wait.

Hey 4CU gang,
Looking forward to getting out camping again...seeing all of ya!
I hope to get some hiking in though I don't think the knee will take me to the top quite yet!
Let us know if you need anything from the Left Coast...we hope to haul out from PV on Thursday morning, there later in the day.

Louis,
Is the group area part of the 'all electric' area, or will we still be solar/generator bound...I ask, because I would like to know if we will pay $14 or $20 per night...
Crowds are really thin this year in Q-town, so pickings at Salvation Army are just as thin...a second White Elephant may not be feasable, 'less of course I make it myself...beware, the coyotes are serenading...

Yeah Mike... what Terry Said.... I don't necessarily see a problem with a home made white elephant gift.... some wine bottles... a good fire.. let your creativity run wild.

Mike - we'll be wandering around AZ for most of Feb so we may have to make it past "Q" for a few days to prepare ourselves. Not sure yet, we do have a person we we want to visit at Chandler, and have a couple of places earmarked for viewing if it makes sense. Also, one other set of bandits from up this way, King O D Road, are playing down there for the time we are so we hope to bump in to them and make their lives miserable for a few days, at least. You will enjoy Roger and Bonnie, wonderful people. They are attending the New Year's event (sigh) so they will be all "practiced up" on 4CU stuff by the time we get there.

When we are getting ready to head south we'll email you guys and find out where you are hiding out and see if it makes sense to swing past for a few days. We have an invitation to darken Milo's door step on our way so we might yet figure out a way to do that as well.

Barry

Louis and Mike, Quit now, we have something so Airstreamish and gaudy it would make Liberace blanche.

Barry, we are looking forward to seeing you and Donna either here or in Deadhorse.

Barry ~

You also have a standing invitation to darken our doorway if you should so desire. We have courtesy parking with water, electric and wi-fi. It's looking like we will also miss New Year's so we're sobbing as well.

The white elephant thing is a gift you procure and wrap...it can be adorable or atrocious...these gifts are then piled on a table, and folks are dealt cards...a pre-arranged selection pattern is determined, and the order of choice is determined. The person with the first choice picks a package, and unwraps it in front of the group...folks are pleased or horrified...you may choose to 'steal' a gift, rather than pick one. If a gift is stolen three times, it can not be stolen again.
Milo, Liberace is dead, and our gift may very well have caused his demise...
Barry, we'll be here...
Ahab, sorry you'll be gone, but...well, let's see...Nicaragua, or Picacho...hmm.

Thanks Mike perfect explanation. I like the term "procure" that is perfect!

Mopariac, it is perfectly appropriate to re-gift for this event as well.. In fact I am sure we will see some re-cycled ones from past rallies.. where are those tooth brushes?
