Four Corners Unit 3rd Annual New Year's Rally

The year is quickly approaching its end and I cannot think of a better way to celebrate the new year than at Picacho Peak State Park Near Picacho, AZ. Situated off of I-10 just north of Tucson about 45 minutes and South of Phoenix about an hour. We will be enjoying the incredible Arizona winter weather at daytime temps in the 70s and evenings dipping into the 30s. Come and enjoy the beautiful Sonoran Desert landscape and some pretty cool folks.

Be sure to visit our signup page on the Rally Schedule at this link http://www.airforums.com/forums/cale...-31;&e=542&c=1

We have enough space for over 50 units in the Quail Group area that we have reserved. It will be dry camping but fresh water and a dump station is available as well as some of the nicest restrooms and showers in the Arizona State Parks system. Here is a link to the Park. Arizona State Parks: Picacho Peak: Home

If you have any questions or need further information about this rally, please feel free to contact either myself or silverback on this forum.

We look forward to seeing many old friends and hopefully many new ones as well!

I can't think of anything I would rather be doing this New Year. Jan and I plan on cooking up a one egg breakfast again this year.

That will be good energy for the hike to the top of the peak that I understand will happen this year for those who wish to participate.

We'll be there this year for sure! We'll be heading back from our annual Holiday trip, but this year we will make it back to "the neighborhood" for the WHOLE rally...not just the last night like last year...that was a total bummer...we missed out on most of the fun! We love Picacho Peak...

You know we will Milo, we had to get home last year so we could get some sleep after the rally.

Thumbs up hiking to the top of peak returns!

Louis is correct. I will attempt to lead a hike to the top of the peak again. And it is highly probable those folks will not make it past 10:00 PM.

Jim,
I think we better hangout with you and Min for a while before we attempt any hiking. Just to make sure we have the right attitude.

We will most certainly have Pictionary again... be sure to start thinking of words... remember the categories are: A Person, place, thing, and action. There may be a faboulous prize for the winning team this year.
