Mike - It's only 80 miles from Mesa to the park and there will be plenty of folks here to help you get parked. If you don't want to make the trip at night, bring the trailer down New Years Day. It's a long weekend and plenty of great fun all weekend long.

We're in the high-faluting place that costs $180/7 monthts or $40/2 weeks, but we'll happily move to another location to company with you folks...after all, a TTQ has no pride...did get a scepter, today...dumpster diving CAN be a rewarding experience...I'll teach you how to keep the broken glass and rusty nails out of your feet...
We'll probably move to Scaddon Wash...exit 17 on the 10, as it's the easiest to access...follow the access road (turn right at the overpass), and we'll have better directions when the time gets closer...

Sounds good. As you know I'll need really detailed directions.

Hiked up to the saddle yesterday from Hunter Trail. It was a beautiful day for a hike. 1100' elevation gain in less than a mile, bailed on continuing to the top (Mark wanted to go, Mary didn't). Went back and took a nap instead. Don't forget your gloves for the cables.

Up in Mesa waiting for the kids to fly in, big storm hitting the east coast. Hope the flight isn't delayed tomorrow.

Arizona isn't a bad place to be stuck, but you DO have to get there first...

Keeping my fingers crossed, they closed the airports yesterday all over the east coast....all those holiday travelers stuck. Will not be a fun place to be this afternoon, he flies out in a couple hours if all goes well. Got a call from family, it's still snowing and looks like the Cape is really getting hammered but is winding down. May have a few trees with broken branches to clean up. Oh well more wood for the fire pit.

You will all get a chance to meet them, at the rally. Looking forward to spending time with family and friends.

Just signed up. We'll brave going through Phoenix for it even. We don't do that for just anyone.

We'll come bearing a killer White Elephant (besides the Chocolate Fountain). You will covet this, my friends!

It has been a while since I visited the place. It's kind of a dumpy place which fits in well with the location. They have boxes of used stuff that you can rummage through looking for things you might need. I have never found anything I needed.

It's been awhile, Steve says but it seemed that whenever they got Airstream parts in someone would come in and get them to resell. They never had anything that he could use.

Anthony & Tamara,
We have been meaning to check it out. I heard (from Louis & Sergio?) that they had Zipdee awnings laying around. We need one for the motorhome. Also need new captains chairs. We also (now) need to repair several leaks that appeared in the freezing weather this weekend. It is looking doubtful if the Excella will make an appearance at Picacho. We will probably tow the Safari down.
