Thank You
Sergio and I would like to personally thank everyone who attended the rally and showing support for our unit. Our rallies are only succesful if we have attendance. We had 32 total units this year and if the weather had cooperated we would have had roughly 35. We appreciate the excellent participation and welcome our new friends and members to the 4CU! As we departed yesterday, we stopped and reserved the same loop for next year the dates we have reserved the loop are December 28, 2010 - January 2, 2011.
Thanks again everyone and we hope you all have a prosperous and healthy 2010!

More Pictures
We made it home to Albuquerque today, after stopping at Bosque del Apache in NM last night--low of 18 degrees. Toto, we're not at Picacho anymore!
We saw 5 Airstreams on the way home, and 3 of them waved heartily and flashed their lights. :-))) PLUS Anthony and Tamara passed us too on their way home to Espanola, NM.
Thanks again to our hosts and all the others who made this a lot of fun and great learning experience for us novice Airstreamers. (Not to mention learning Julianne's new game, Left-Right-Center!)
I've attached a few pictures of the Airstreams.

This was our first rally and our first time out in our refurbished Airstream. We enjoyed meeting everybody and touring all of the Airstreams on Saturday. Unfortunately, we found out that our Sovereign had bad leaks in both holding tanks. But this didn't dampen our enthusiasm. The weather and scenery were fantastic. Here's a few of our pics:

Well, we had final hoorah last night...meal, wine/beer, friendship(Bob&Lou, Terry&Greg, and ours truly), sat by the campfire for awhile, then early to bed or rest...decompress was the term I think I heard. Got up and began to pack up...Bob&Lou left a few minutes before us, and then Quail Loop was empty...kinda sad, but DH4 is coming quick.
We're currently parked in a dirt lot behind a Circle K in Marana, waiting for...yep...a mobile mechanic...right rear grinding noises when we pulled away from the gas pump...the good news is that gas was $2.49/gallon, and we took on 57 gallons...also, the mechanic coming is one we have used before, and he's good, reasonable, and can find the older chassis parts.

Mike,
Sorry to hear that you had to call a mobile mechanic. Rear grinding noises doesn't sound good (brakes, bearings, Geo Tracker?). No sagging airbags? Hopefully you're on the road again this afternoon.

Mike,
Bad news about the MH. Across the street from the circle K is a stop and go type place at the service station. They make the best breakfast burritos. Hopefully you will not be there in the morning, but just in case you are...

Thanks Folks,
We're still in the moho, BUT...we're sitting in it at his shop...they came out, jacked it up, put it down, listened to the grinding, and told me it was ok to drive it to the shop...I just eased the tension with a cold one , and am surfing and reading...don't know about tonight...don't care...just know we're here and in good hands. May try the breakfast tacos on the way out.

Got all three right rear tires off, and I looked, but all I saw was a lot of greasy metal and unstripped spindles. he's gone into the shop with a few brake parts...we're outta the sun, got a cool breeze, food in the box, and are just layin' back.

Hummm. Sounds maybe like some kind of brake-parts failure? That'd be good news (I think).

trapped in tucson, again...
Naw, at least not from the right rear...they pulled off those three wheels, pulled everything apart, checked for abnormalities, and found nothing ...but it still makes a grinding noise with braking...so...tomorrow, another session with the left side... Ahh, well, maybe we should just drive to Slab City, park, and become residents...anyone got any spare plywood, blue tarps, or pallets??? Hot tub was nice.
