Do any of you plan on arriving Thursday? (we will)

How many Friday?

Any Saturday arrivals?

I suspect most will arrive Friday.....

Friday…'when you arrive…Happy Hour(s)' at the TINCABN

We’ll give awards for the best trailer back-in, no cheating we are watching.

....Saturday....spend some time exploring the Sonoran Desert..

Back at camp...

we'll kick things off in the afternoon with the NCAA FINAL FOUR....
Happy Hour(s) at the TINCABN…..don’t like basketball…
too bad get lost…...

kiddin'

We’ll have music also…
good music...

Bring your dish for the Saturday Southwest Pot Luck (proper duds required)

Brent

Marge and I will arrive on Thursday and plan a Tubac tour on Friday, returning in time for Happy Hour.

Long live 4CU

It's not a hijack. It's a detour

O.K. you FCU Crew. I'm judging the March photo contest and I'm expecting you guys to represent. ( Calif. speak for. Hey guys post pics.)

The only rule is.. Each photo must have an Airstream OR a recognizable Airstream part in it. After that the field is wide open.

I know thats kinda dangerous with guys like AZflycaster in your Crew but I'm taking the risk.

Funny, sick, photoshopped anything goes. Don't forget rally, peeps and M-ball pics.

Harry, I hate to be the one to break the news to you, but Tupac was shot and killed in Las Vegas in 1996. There is no tour!

4CU M-Ball reload

Richard & Jan,

We were able to locate a reload for the M-Ball, and will bring it with us. Well almost a reload. The important part of the reload at least...1.75 L of Sauza/Hornitos 100% puro de aguave fire water...We will keep the lid on tight so the fire won't escape. (We will also bring some fine breakfast beer just in case Kevbo shows.)

Think we will arrive on thursday, but sometimes find something interesting to fun with along the way that holds us up. It is at least a two day run, now we have learned to relax a little.

Affiliate 4CU membership in the mail...

We are looking at a Thursday night arrival. If we arrive after dark maybe no one will see me back in. Looking at the area with Google Earth it looks like they have several loops of camping areas. Do we have an area set aside for us?

you're right......

there are 3 large loops at the campground with over 130+ full electric sites total.....

they are spread out...

this is not the kind of place where you can smell your neighbor’s bran muffin come 2pm...

Really the sites are large....

Come mid-March Pima County Parks start closing loops as the winter birds head north…..

I've spoken with Mark Brosseau the Pima County Parks Director (most recently, yesterday,) and he has agreed to open a loop for our group.

We will not know the exact loop until a week before our event.

So stay tuned campers............ the best is yet to come......

Brent ~ That sounds great. Did you say that the site had water? I would prefer to fill my water tank when I get to the campground.

There are water spigots throughout the campground (one about every three- four sites) so fill up when you arrive. There is also a water station between Loop C and Loop A. see map below

Each site has 30amp electric. NO Sewer at the site, you must use the central dump station. So it may not be a bad idea to bring the blue boy tote.

Each site also has a metal picnic table.

Depending on which loop we end up getting, I'll probably bring a couple of extra tables for our Saturday potluck. I'd encourage others to do the same.

Hello....Tubac is little town that was a Spanish fort in the 1700s now it is a little art community...as an artist you may really enjoy.

Tubac is about 45-60 mins south of Tucson just north of the Mexico border.

While in the area, if time permits you may want to also check out the little town of Patagonia. I particularly like the Nature Conservancy Patagonia-Sonita Creek Preserve

so much to do so much to see.......
