If you were at Dead Horse, you will remember that it was Joan's Birthday. Well this trip it was 50 years ago that John and Joan tied the knot. What a great couple!

50th year anniversary Airstreaming really keeps you young! Richard, love the pictures especially Walker in the Safari doorway, the moon and the mountain scene (kit) and all the great shots of everyone and the children, Debra, Peeps and Rich. Looks like a beautiful place for a rally. I see the mball so don't have to ask if you had fun.

More Pix From 4CU April Fools Rally

We did catch Debra in full howl accompanied by the local coyote chorus.

Great pictures Richard. Thanks everyone for letting us crash your rally. We had a great time meeting everyone and enjoyed the location. We went to the Old Tucson Studios on Sunday, which was fun to see. We left Gilbery Ray Monday, and moved onto Tombstone with a side trip to Bisbee. We'll head to Phoenix, and then Northern AZ Thursday. Hope to see you all at future Rallies.

Geezer Report

Joan and I thank everyone that attended the 4CU April Fools rally for such a wonderful time. We certainly picked the right group of individuals to share our Golden Wedding anniversary celebration. Ages ran from, Alex at nine weeks, (his fourth camping trip), up to 75 years, quite a blend.

We were the last dogs to leave the Gilbert Ray (rally) Campground on Monday, thanked the Park desk for the excellent facilities and service and then headed out on the azflycaster recommended shortcut to Marana and I-10. It saved 10 miles and that Tucson roadwork congestion. Thank you Richard...

Then took the I-8 bypass, staying Monday night at Gila Bend, Shell RV campground. (full hookups $15.)

Tuesday morning headed north to I-10 then west to Indio, Desert Hot Springs and home in Sky Valley.

We treasure you, our old and new-old AS friends,

John and Joan

P.S. Another great rally by that now famous 4CU group. Almost 800 miles is not to far to enjoy real fun...

Looks like great fun...!

4CU compadres....!

Looks like SilverToy, the family & I, missed a GREAT 4CU Rally! That would be ANOTHER great rally. It's easy to see why they are the events they are.... great folks, terrific places, friendly gatherings, 'free' time to see & do (or not!), and that "Special Something" - AirStreams!

Alas, Little League is in full swing at the Freese's... Jens is in Majors - went 4/4 with 6 RBI's tonight (1-1 so far), Annika is in Minors (I manage her team) and Max (Dead Horse Ranch attendee) is decimating the T-ball ranks.... so we are in full-on baseball mode with at least 1 practice or game EVERY day til mid June. Then back to that AirStream travel jones...

BTW - in just over 2 years, SilverToy has over 10K miles and 68 nights of use.... not bad!? Actually, that was more use than I remembered. But then pulled out all the travel logs that I have kept and remembered something terrific about EACH and EVERY trip.... the kids kept chiming in with things as well.... Tombstone, Mt. Rushmore, Lake Michigan, the St Louis Arch, Lake Powell, Grand Canyon.... on and on.

Max even commented about how he LOVED the trip to Cottonwood. Next generation of AirStreamer's is alive and LOVING IT!!!

Thanks to all the folks that took and posted pics of the rally! See ya at an upcoming one....!!!

Richard,
Thank you so much for the great pictures of Walker. John printed them out for me. You are good, Richard!

Joan
--------------

observer Richard and Jan,

I checked with our honored and lettered family doctor today and he said he was not aware that a bloody mary or two in the AM, margaritas pumped from the Mball in the PM and evening, then sipping fine tequila at a campfire most of the night, could give one the flu!
Well...so much for modern medicine....

John
