Fish Fry and Grandparents Rally @ Mystic Springs Oark July 16-19, 2009

WBCCI Pensacola FL Unit 29, Region 6 will be hosting a fish fry and grandparents rally Thursday July 16 through Sunday July 19 2009. Come on out for a REALLY FUN TIME!! There will be lots of activities and fun, especiallly for the grandkids.

The pavillon is now air conditioned!


Mystic Springs Cove Park is an Airstream Park, owned by the local unit. It is situated on 10 acres overlooking the Escambia River! For those who like to fish, it is documented that there are more different species of fish in the Escambia River than in any other river in all of Florida! BTW- there is a public boat ramp not even a 1/4 mile from the park!

There are over 50 campsite in the park. Their is plenty of space between each camp site and they are equipted with water, electric and sewer. Most campsites have 30 amp service, aprox. a dozen have 50 amp service.

RSVP through the camp host-- (850) 256-3280, so the cooks know how many to cook for during the rally. Thursday evening is grill your own, a group eat at a local resturaunt for lunch on Friday. Friday dinner is at 6 pm. They'll serve breakfast Saturday morning. On your own for lunch Saturday noon and dinner will be serve Saturday evening at 5pm or so.

Rally fees are $25 per couple for the food, $10.00 per additonal person and $9 a night for 30 amp, $12/night 50 amp.

We may come up and make this our first trip with other Airstreamers. Can not be sure until next Monday. Hopefully it is not to late to let you folks know. I looked at the web site and it looks like a great place.

Come on up, we'd be glad to have you visit us! Sorry I was a little longer responding back with you, I was actually hosting at mystic Springs Park this past week and wasn't around my computer. If you can make it, just call the camp host by the 14th of July to let them know how many will be attending in your group. If you need help getting hooked up or anyting, there will be some guys around to assist you with anything yu may need. I'm planning on getting there on the 16th.

We had a really rally! A real good time, which is what it's all about. Lots of teenagers and little ones were in attendance which is a very good thing because that's our future!
