The pressure is on, as I have a long way to go in my full restoration. It would be great to have two 58 overlanders at the same rally. Thanks again for all your efforts Ken. Ed

Bummed!
We had planned to get to the Restoration Rally and were quite disappointed when we had to change our plans. Now that the lucky participants have posted their experiences, comments, photos and videos we are totally bummed to have missed it! I'm especially sorry to have missed the session on compound curving. Well, maybe next year?
Thanks for all the reports,
Rob & Sadie

Long,Long,Long Trip
Finally got home after the 3 day trip (3084.2) miles, but who is counting. This was a very informative and fun rally. Thanks to the FCU and Ken and all who help make this possible. It was nice to put a face with some of the Forums members. Looking forward to meeting down the road. Thanks for the good times.
Best Regards,
Levon

This is it, Forum members. The final video I have to post on the First Annual Vintage Restoration Rally in Albuquerque.
Here you will see a portion of Blake's presentation on solar. Enjoy!
Jim and I had a great time and would highly recommend this information rally!

First Outing
Well, we rolled into the cosmopolitan center of Sedan about an hour ago after about 5 hours on the road. Just a bit quicker than you, Levon. We stayed over in the big city to look at some toys... er... TOOLS necessary to finish kitting the shop. (Yes, Pam, a bandsaw is a necessity, as well as a drum sander.) Dinner at the casino was so good Monday night, we went back for a reprise last night.
For a first outing with 4CU, the VRR was a great one. Looking forward to more. Ken and Ellyn did a magnificent job of gluing it all together and it was an honor to be allowed to particpate as a presenter. Distilling 38 years of skulduggery into as many minutes of blather probably meant that I missed a fact or two, so if I raised more questions than answered don't hesitate to e-mail.
For those who want a quick peek at the fleet, my webshots name is wornmatt and there is a file folder for each of the bits of detritus as well as some views of the old homestead up here in the northeast corner. Courtesy parking on the high plains, come on up!
Matt (and Pam)

No doubt! Perhaps next year we'll be fortunate enough to enjoy an encore presentation.

Thanks to all
especially Ken J, the food committe and all the presenters. I will be sending my check to join this great unit as soon as I get home from this business trip. I gained enough info and confidence to attempt to move forward with axle replacement, rear floor sag and then hopefully on to polishing and finish floor. Thanks again...I will probably be contacting some of you for further advice and hope to rally again soon.

Lets not forget the great organizing committee of Uwe, Lynda, Jackie and Kip - these are the folks that did all the behind the scenes work that made this rally great.
Food committee was Lynda, Paula and Ellyn - they did a GREAT job.

I have created a shared album at Sharpcast.com and linked it to the fourcorners.wbcci.net web page.
Suggest adding your Restoration Rally photos here to have them all in one place and easily accessable over time.
