Hi Joe,
I don't know if Removall 220 is available locally. I needed a bunch of stuff, polish, pads, etc. so I just ordered it all from Vintage Trailer.
By the way, if I had not mentioned it before, the Removall 220 requires a tremendous amount of stirring to mix the components that have separated. You definitely want an electric drill with a mixing bit. Even with that, it takes about 4 or 5 minutes.

I plan on heading out on Thursday also, don't know what time yet. Not sure I'll make the full trip that night due to having 2 boys with me. Maybe layover at a rest stop
Leaving Thursday morning, my aluminum tent GT is on it's wheels and now setting in Arvada instead of it's past home in Golden. I have tomorrow off so I'm hoping to get the brakes wired. Belly pan is on except the fresh water tank slide in panel and thats on the list for tonight. Belly pan took more time then I had planned for, as I installed anchor nuts and 10/32 panhead screws to hold it all on, not one pop rivet was installed. It will be a easy task now to remove a belly pan for future work.
I called the campground and the lady there informed me that if we arrive late, they will have our name with a map of how to find our site posted on the front door. I am hoping to make it before 1am.
You guys (and gals) are all going to beat me. I am going to try and leave late Thursday and layover in Taos, but will most likely leave early Friday and get there around 4 PM.
OK I got some removall 220 (thanks Ken L) and have started the stripping process. It took a little while to get the dwell time right, but now I am getting pretty good results with first application. The potential is there for sure.
I am new to the airstream world, and am probably getting ahead of myself with polishing, but definitely wanted to get some hands on with all the expertise that will be at this rally. Getting up on a ladder I realize I should probably replace all of my plumbing vent covers, and may be intereted in pulling the front bottom panels to do some dent repair. I will only be able to get in Friday pm and need to leave Sunday pm...but look forward to learning a lot and meeting folks in the FCU. Joe
I might actually be ready to mosey on down that way come Thurs. afternoon. Most likely though a nice early start on Friday that will have me arriving around 2ish.
Looking forward to learning and repairing.
Have gun will travel. Battery operated of course.

You folks have a ton of fun at the rally. No, don't worry about those of us who can't come - it's, it's, it's, okay, we've all been deeply hurt before
The important thing for those of us who can't attend is the posting of pictures, during and after the event. And the stories. We want to hear what is happening and also the follow up. A lot of you will get started on a project while there, or get the ideas to do on yours when you get home. We want to hear about those too.
Have a great time, and to Ken and the others who have already put a lot of effort into making this happen, mucho kudos.
This is what Airstreaming is all about - friends helping friends, friends camping together and helping friends, and making new friends.
Sure wish we could be there.

I'll be there Thurs early afternoon - I teach a course at a local college, so I be gone from about 4:30 - 9:30 pm - I'll try not to trip over the trash can when I get in, push the wrong button on my truck to make the horn blast or anything like that
I'll think of you Barry - hows that - you will be there in spirit - this will be a well photographed event and I'm sure we will have lots of stories to tell - both true and not true
The weather looks PERFECT!!! high 70's and clear. The committee has lots of great plans and will have a great time.
Hi Ken, we will bring a copy of the Professional Appraisal report prepared by Jim Polk, a fellow Airstreamer attending the Rally, that was instrumental in enabling us to receive a fair insurance settlement for our broadsided 69 Overlander. It is not a fun topic but we will be happy to share our experience with our damaged Vintage trailer from which others can benefit. See you Friday, paula
