to work (again) we go.......

well guess what...... THIS time, WE have to leave at o'dark thirty Sunday morning. But if it's not pouring rain we may come back and stay an extra night or so.

We've got an extra outdoor market to do close to Chicago! We've decided to miss Saturday for the Rally and work Sunday.

Checked the forecast for our rally, if the weathermen are correct it will be in the high 60's in the day time and a low of 47 for the nightime.

Pec Rally Participants! (and those not yet signed up);
Put on those thinking caps, gather your carving utensils and/or decorating ideas and bring them with you to Pecatonica Fall Rally. Let's have a pumpkin decorating contest!!!!! Pumpkins will be furnished....2 great prizes....one for BEST of show and ONE for....well, you can figure this out. One pumpkin for each unit...so designate your most talented designer! Weather feels like fall more each day/night. Looking forward to seeing everyone and maybe new people. Spread the word how great this rally is and maybe we'll have 15 units. See you all in Oct.

Dana

Pec Rally cooks:
What are you bringing for food? Anything fallish would be good...apples, pumpkin, squash, sweet potatoes, cheese bread for Tom's chili.
Think I will assemble a apple salad on site.
Mike will cook his famous baked beans with secret ingredient
Lori's dessert bars
What else?
Dana

sign of the times

we are going to have to watch things closely at the shop.. due to the present economy we may have to work that Saturday, also, not just Sunday.. and that will make us not able to come to Pec.

We can't make that decision as of today, but things are NOT great.

I am really thankful for lay-a-ways and credit cards and weekend markets.

Chelle; why don't you and Gary come for the fire and socialize on Saturday night? Don't need to bring food as there will be plenty;just your meat. I think I could find a paper plate and chopstix. mike

Mike, you're really nice as usual.. we even thought we may come out Thursday and Friday and THEN leave, but that is not worth the drama since we'd have to run into Rockford to work on Friday... and we have to leave so EARLY Saturday; it's almost a 2 hour drive.

That weekend is Grayslake Antique Market and we didn't even know about that venue when we first started talking about this rally. But Grayslake runs Saturday AND Sunday and we don't want to travel back and forth.. it's a LONG trip, and a goofy route. Last trip it was so foggy we could hardly see the hood of the truck, it was a hazardous drive, and I don't want to do that again. So we'll be taking Luna to Grayslake and will be stuck there until Sunday night.

But as I said, I can't call that today.. if it gets busy in the shop or if it rains we won't want to be at Grayslake.

In any case, Grayslake Antique Market is a BEAUTIFUL place to visit.. you should all try it sometime!
