Hi all--I just received my itinerary via email. It sounds great....lots of free time to explore. It's a great area.
I believe that I heard that there are 40 units going to the rally, and that there were a couple of spots left.
Anyone else bringing kayaks? I'm wondering about whether I should put all my racks on the car, so I can carry 4 or 5 boats to a release spot, leave the car, and then someone else can bring me back to get it.
No itinerary to us...... Maybe the Hosts could post something on this thread.
We could bring a vessel of some sort. Starting from Northbridge in North Conway to the campground is about five miles all down stream on the Saco River. There is also Conway Lake (large) and Crystal Lake (small) for kayak.
Also some serious Mt. Biking if anyone is interested doing that. I bike with a group of "seasoned" (read older) riders often in the White Mountains. There is a ride close to the campground that runs along the Saco and can climb if riders need more exercise.
Hey everyone - I know Linda doesn't use the Forums and I'm not sure that Wayne does either. If you have questions about the rally, I would suggest you contact one of them directly:

I just attached the itinerary for those who didn't receive it.
Just a heads up for those travelling from the south to avoid the Laconia area for BIKE WEEK traffic. Tens of thousands of part time pirates stuck in traffic, baking their tattoos and contibuting to each others hearing loss. Most are so busy checking each others outfits they have a hard time controlling their machines.
If you see them staring at your trailer don't get the wrong idea....they are just checking out their latest leather vest. Don't smile an wave. That just pisses em' off more.
Ha Ha!! I'll make sure I don't touch up my polish, so they can't use it for a mirror!! I was debating about which way to go, so I appreciate the heads up. Since I'll be traveling through on Thursday will I miss all the bike traffic??

They are everywhere.....but Laconia is fender to fender and to be avoided. Conway is busy and a dealership is sponsoring "Rally in the Valley" on Friday at a location nearby the campground. Hopefully far enough away not to listen to altered mufflers. Be careful as they stop for no apparent reason in the road. Sometimes it could be a beer sign, a shiny reflection or a barbeque stand.
Fill up with gas far away from areas mentioned. They seem to enjoy stopping en mass and filling one gallon at a time and spend twenty minutes inside buying lottery tickets and Slim Jims.
Cool.
whadya think the traffic will be like coming up 16 on Friday night?
Route 16 should be clear. there will be motorcycles but not a problem. Into Conway there may be signs of the "other" rally. Laconia, Weird beach and parts west are the worst. Gas stations are more difficult to deal with as mentioned before.

Thanks for the info. I checked the link, and I now realize that "motorcycle week" is all this week. I guess that I will have to go across the Kank (as long as my brakes are working okay), unless I want to go way north, and then head south. Oh well.....traffic will probably be terrible going across the Kank, but maybe better than going through Laconia.
The only thing good about gas stops around that area is people watching. When I passed through two years ago, it was hard not to stare at some of the outfits (or maybe I should say "non-outfits")!!
Thanks for the heads up about bike week. Heading out around 10:30 tomorrow a.m.
Suppose to bring up the kayaks but not sure with the way the weather looks. Keeping our fingers crossed for some sunshine.....
