Barry I got some good news and some bad news - first the good - - Just posted you several acre feet of fresh snow. Now the bad, I don't think I put enough stamps on it so it will come postage due

Drat!

Aaarrggghhhhhhh, we be aground! Between the snow and mud there is no way to reasonably get the AS up the drive and on the road for DH4.

Hoist a couple for us.

Good thing I'm hiding in a foreign country where they won't deliver short postage packages. They return them at the border.

Whew, that was close.........but thanks so much for thinking of us. Where did YOU get the snow? You may want to return it as defective.

Someone, who shall remain nameless, has been pushing the stuff South from Angel Fire. What the hay, we are at 7000 ft (2154 m)

All we need to do is to convert the truck into a half-track and install non-driven tracks on the tin can.

Hey, I wish I could push this white crap south of Angel Fire! We had another eight inches last night, but the big problem was that the snow came with enough wind to re-fill our roads completely with drifted stuff. Argh!

Too many irons in the fire

Alas,
Annette and I will not be able to make it to Dead Horse 4. We were really looking forward to attending, but have several conflicts that have arisen that we have no control over.
We will certainly look forward to the next 4CU rally.

Me arms get tired jest thinkin' upon the hoistin' they'll be doin' fer the absent-no- to-be- fergotten mates swashbuckled by their misfortunes...we rolled into Steve and Reg's about late-5-ish, were fed a wondrous jambalaya, asparagus, and salad, then learned(with beginners' luck) canasta...great companions they are, and we'll be up at the crack of noon to head into port...'less the wind blows foul and the harbor needs watchin'...
Lordy!!! This jargon is beginning to seriously affect my speech...ah, well, probably another WallyWorld story in the making, if the purchases at the dollar store didn't already do so...

Our plan is to leave SoCal Thursday early afternoon, and arrive at the Campground Friday. Should we pack snow gear?

Left Steve&Reg's early afternoon, arrived in port around 3-ish...no one in this harbor, so we claim it for the 4CU and the Jolly Roger...cold and clear tonight, warmer weather ahead...where are you guys? Our camp host is the same as has always been...he's almost out of lumber wood for sale, but has gone to split wood, now...still a banana box full...
Richard, the first 3 spots are 'blocked'...Jan, the central table has been moved to between the pillars...the bathrooms are now open, and the flamingo garden has been planted...the horseshoes are set up...the possible golf course has been scouted...enough work for one day...coyotes serenaded early(6-ish), and the rabbit has been by...pizza for supper.

Great job Mike! We'll be traveling up tomorrow morning in a two ship convoy with Julianne. We should be dropping anchor sometime around noon.

Ahoy, me maties! Loaded up the cargo and provisions in the rain here in Tucson to set sail Thursday mornin-bright (well, late-bright). Fair sailing weather predicted. Batonned down the hatches and plotted our course north to the Dead Horse 4 port...should hit shore mid-to-late afternoon to drop anchor for the weekend... Looking forward to seeing all you fellow sea-farin' blokes! We are sorry our numbers have dimenished, but perhaps we'll be lucky and snare a couple of aluminum gallions on the way. It's not to late to come and join the party! (Does someone have a pirate talk dictionary/guide handy??) Aaargh!
