4CU 004 : DH4 - Shiver Me Rivets

We were the last to leave Pirate's Cove...we stayed until this morning and moved to Lake Pleasant for a fe days of R&R...the diehards at DH4 were Greg and me, Julianne, Mike & Tracy, Mike & Sheri, Mike & Betty (gotta do something about all those "Mikes"!), Art & Margaret and newbies Jim & Marcy (welcome!). We had a fantastic time. Richard & Jan really ARE primo hosts and of course Louis & Sergio and Julianne were right in there helping at every turn...MikeB shined as our resident fire-tender and made sure the group site was left clean as a whistle for us. The Chili-Dump was a big success (and as usual there was plenty of good food every day), and Anthony was named the best dressed pirate and Terry's beaded beard was a big hit. Fortunately the new folks joined the 4CU so the tire locks weren't necessary! (And nobody had to walk the plank...aaargh!) Pictures to follow...

Well, Velcro, Jaki, Margaret and I took an extra couple of days to return to Placitas... Arrived last night around 6pm, so this entry is a bit late....

Many thanks to Jan, "Captain-of-the-Line" Richard, Louis, Sergio, and Julianne (AAaarg!) for all the planning and execution of this very successful DH-4 Pirate's Rally! It great to be cruising the "7-Seas" with such a fun and hearty group of 'Streamers! The food, drink, and frivolity was absolutely first-class...

Thanks to Mike and Betty for sharing their DVD copy of the "Long, Long Trailer"!

"Welcome Aboard" to Marcie and Jim from CO Springs - great to have newby Shipmates along for this cruise -- looking forward to seeing them at our next port.

Great photos! I have no doubt everyone had a fabulous time, it's pretty obvious. And you've gotta know pirates are one of my favorite themes. One of the days I'll get out there for a 4CU rally.
