Did PeeWee just volunteer to be the SPAM judge? PeeWee will be at the Texas Vintage Rally the week before our event. He is going to hurry back from that event and visit with his 4CU family on Saturday. Too bad the SPAM contest is on Friday night. I am going to make a SPAM dish myself, but will not be eligible for the prize  . The dishes will be judged equally on the following criteria:
Appearance 
Taste 
Originality 
Size of bribe

The cutoff was yesterday for the rally. We have 32 signed up and paid (1 IOU). If you are not on the list, contact me and we will work something out. I have listed below all of the people who are confirmed. This list (with the names included) will be given to the park. When you arrive tell the ranger in the booth that you are with the Four Corners Unit. They will cross you off the list and give you your pass which is good for Friday and Saturday night. You can pay for any additional nights at this time at $12 per night. Parking is going to be a little tight, but should not be a problem. There will be some parking between the paved areas, so please leave room for others when you set up. Questions????

Just picked up the rig from storage and put it in the driveway. It needs to be loaded after our last trip. I am thinking the food shopping list better include some pepto and zantac with all this talk of a SPAM fest.

 After living in the islands for 5 years and doing a quick web search I find that SPAM is not part of a Luau.
A luau has things like Kalua Pig,Poi,Sweet Potatoes,Lomi Salmon,Poke,Laulau and tropical fruits like Pineapple,Mango and Papya.
 To drink MAI TAIS.
No place do I see SPAM.
