ALAS!!! We're already here...rolled in about 4pm...asked politely(I DO know polite...occasionally...) for an early entry, and after consultation amongst the present gate-type folks, was told no prob...followed the golf cart to Raven Loop, the guy got out and removed the center gate pole, and I drove in to find...Sandy, from Utah...already set up...her first 4CU...nice lady...we waved from afar as we went about our set-up chores...she came over tonite as I was finishing replenishing all our small(green) propane tanks...visited for awhile.
I took the correct turn this time...wasn't raining, sun was shining, and the golf cart in front of me might have helped, a bit...am almost set up...but, what's the rush??? You slaggards aren't even here yet...guess I'll go take a shower while there's still plenty of hot water in the communal tank...
Don't forget the firewood, and a couple of large tarps would be great insurance for the ramada...We have one, and Richard&Jan are bringing one. Don't forget to dump(if ya need to) as you come in...the station is just past the guard station, on the right...
I don't remember if they have fresh water there, as I didn't have to stop...rather than incur the wrath of a fireman neighbor(again), I just added the extension, and dumped in Richard&Jan's pool...you can fill with fresh water at least 4 taps inside our loop...I will have the registration table set up, but I won't be there. Uhm, Richard, do we HAVE registration...???
C'mon folks, WE'RE WAITIN'

We're heading out in the morning...we'll be there mid-afternoon... Glad Sandy, our friend from Utah, made it there safe and sound... She called earlier and said it was nice... We'll have to do a hula dance to keep the rains away! (I'm sure there is one, right??)

Everyone drive carefully and enjoy the trip...that's part of the fun...

We'll be there early tomorrow afternoon and can't wait to join up with all of our 4CU friends. I'm certain there's a no rain hula dance, there has to be.

Since Mike is on site, the rally has begun! Don't forget to stop by and visit the most decorated Airstream you may ever see.

We got the trailer all packed this morning, the truck is next. We will be running a little heavy on the trip up today so I only put about 12 gallons of water in the tank. We will top it off when we get to the site. There are several water stations at the site which makes filling up easy. If anyone needs water after they are parked, we can put a few hoses together and fill them up.

To keep you tanks from filling there are rest rooms at the site as well as a sink behind the restrooms for washing dishes and such. Grey totes can be taken to the dump station which is a few hundred yards down the road.

I for one will absolutely follow the example set by our outstanding club president.

Yes, Richard is outstanding, but I would think twice about "absolutely" following his examples. He could get real creative. He also doesn't drink beer.

Well, Sandy was here, already, Jimmini got in before we got up this am, JulianneJ arrived shortly thereafter, and Bob&Lou and Harold&Caroline just pulled in...IT'S HAPPENIN'!!! Cool out, with quite a bit of visible clouds and a freshening breeze, but still enough sun to keep the solar charge above 12.8
Don't have the awning out, yet...wait&see...BLOODY MARY morning, so the rest of the day will take care of itself...oh, wait, it's 1:00 in the afternoon, so that's already a done deal...I love it when actions go according to plan!!!
Remember, chance favors a prepared mind...
Still some parking available...I can arrange reserved spots for a small donation
Where are you guys???

Bummed

There is no easy way to do this. We are bummed.

Sorry to say that we are going to miss the Luau at Dead Horse this year. TIME was not on our side and thus we will be experiencing the rally through your reports on the forum....I hope this does not spoil the fun for Richard's and Jan's dogs, also to mention that TT the Cat is sulking in the other room, trying to devise a way of hooking up her Airstream to the truck.

Have fun FCU brothers and sisters, and post lots of pictures.
