Yay!

As I was turning the corner into the car repair shop it hit me. My neighbor, in his 86 ford f-15 had been idling in the drive for quite some time prior to my parking in the same spot. Hmmmmm, Yup good news! It wasn't my oil. But just to be on the safe side I had them check everything and when they found out I was going away suggested a "trip check". I like them.....

I did have a small leak in the transfer case that they took care of.

So, I'm off on Friday morn.

See Ya!

Michael, Hope you're doing okay with your repairs...

The nice thing about Dead Horse is that all the spots are in a circle around the Ramada and the campfire.

There will be plenty of spots. The later you arrive, the more of a challange it is to park.

We will be heading there in the AM (Linda says I can't sleep in...). Should be there in the early afternoon. Should I be worried we won't have a space?

We're doing the last of our preps now....
WE have to work until 3pm Friday, then rush home and garage the car, jump in the truck (which will be hooked up shortly) and get outta town!!
The last time we used the trailer was July. Not good....

We plan on driving about 5 - 6 hours, starting at 4pm, and hopefully find a spot to pull off the I-10 (Richard suggested some spots so we'll be looking for those). I don't know how tired I will be but judging from past Friday's, I'll probably last about 35 minutes before I need a nap!!

Anyway, we hope to arrive sometime between Saturday, noon, and, say Tuesday!! Haha I think I'd like to park the trailer right next to the fire pit to get warm. It snowed today all around the hills of Hemet, CA. It's cold.
I bet you who are there already tonight (Thursday) are going to get a bit of snow......
See ya

So, we arrived...finally...pulled in just after dark...I tried to pull into the service entrance before the Raven Loop entrance-I really DON"T recommend it...did manage to block the street while I disconnected the toad...
We took 89 from Congress to Prescott...a really pretty drive, but as Tracy says, those little dots that follw the road, signifying 'scenic' usually do not bode well for trailers and motorhomes...15-20 mph, more curves and steep sections up and down than I care to remember...lordy but my neck and shoulders will be tight for a week...once in Prescott, we opted to go back down towards Phoenix and tag 17...extra miles, but that's why we buy gas...see ya'll around the loop...mike

Be there Sat around noon and we got a jug of Clamato. I'll try to remember the clear stuff too.

If we run aground I'll dash for more.

Heading out the door...

First stop on arrival will be the Square Stream to say howdy to Jim & Mini (the new DH2 greeters?).

Steve, sorry to hear you and Faith won't be there. Give us a call later.

Update on the weather????

What kind of weather are you having at Dead Horse today ? We stayed in Gilbert last night and it rained like hell all night. We're going to be leaving around noon for the Rally and are hoping the roads near there aren't icy. Looks like beautiful weather is still slated for the Sat and Sun. See you all about 2:00 if weather permits.
