The local WBCCI is holding a vintage campout 10 minutes from my house this August . Gotta love that. Five minutes north of the US/CAN border.

Hang out in White Rock, BC, lots of fun.

With the 2010 winter olympics in the Vancouver area a ton of people are coming in the warm months to see where it's at (Whistler 2 hours north) and to tour Vancouver proper.

Stuck in Las Crusas,NM

Well I've made it as far as Las Crusas, NM (sp)
Picking up goodies for the pot luck at Sam's Club and when I walked back to the rig I noticed fluid under the truck.
Transmission fluid

I've found a little trailer park for the nite and will drive to the local Ford Dealer just a few blocks away

There is more, but I'll keep it simple.

Hope I can still make it!

Michael

Bummer about the leak. Hopefully it will be a quick repair. You are just under 500 miles out, we will keep our fingers crossed for you. Be aware that Tucson has a major road project on I-10 just west of the I-19 interchange. The roadway is closed (for 2 years) and traffic is routed onto the frontage road.

Michael,

I had the same thing happen with my wifes corvette many years ago. It was sitting on the driveway and I'm at work and I get a frantic call from her saying "theirs car blood all over the driveway" .

Hope it's nothing serious. I doubt you were out racing kids in Chevelles like she and her mom likely were the night before . Ours was a cracked transmission cooler line at the fitting.

Barry

Good luck with the repairs... Hopefully it will be a quick fix and you'll soon be on your way again.

Re the interstate and Tucson...Depending on what they are doing to the interstate at the time, you will probably be able to stay on the interstate all the way through Tucson (reduced lanes), but you won't be able to get off, so if you need to gas up or whatever, use one of the big truck stops on I-10 before or after Tucson up near the I-8 interchange...and avoid the hassle. (Or if you want to do anything in Tucson, get off the interstate and onto the fontage roads before it's too late...it's pretty well signed...the frontage roads have been widened and move pretty good...) The Gem Show is in progress so there is a lot of extra traffic, too...

Good luck!

Jimmini,

Hold down the fort, we'll all be there soon. I am still shoveling snow here in my little corner. Also trying to get a new backup propane generator installed before I leave. So for those who have seen photos of my house you'll know I am shoveling almost 3 feet of snow off a portion of my berm where the solar array is. That is where the generator will go. I have to clear enough by the back of the house so the propane man can hook into the house propane. NO GAS! yeah.

Still planning on bringing a little firewood. AND Mr. Peep!

Lumatic,

I'm bringing my mandolin and I know L&CWoogie will have his and maybe a banjo. We're in Prescott now and will be heading the last 39 miles to DHSP on Wed or Thurs.
Rich Carpentier (the digitalrv.com) is here in Point of Rocks RV park in his 25' Safari. Met him at the International in Salem in 06' and bought his book. Haven't said hi yet, but want to see what he's been up to.

Anyway.....we're excited about the rally and meeting folks!
