So we're in Holbrook...and a ton of snow
Blew a #@%^&* Marathon outside of Albuquerque yesterday...that took hours and screwed up poor Airylle's side. Then it snowed all night in Holbrook, but we're going to go for it here in a few minutes. Folks at the RV park said we're heading right into it.
Send us good Airstream luck fellow Peepers.

No Dead Horse for us
My wife, the English teacher, made it to Thursday and then today was feeling really bad this morning. Now she has what appears to be bronchitis and/or the flu really bad..... and running a high fever and threatening to "divest" herself of what little she ate today.
Bottom line, we won't make it to Arizona this weekend.
Have a wonderful time. Whoever gets this message, please inform Richard and thank him for us for getting this all together.
This is a tough time of year for teachers with lots of sick students everywhere we turn.
Another time......

Sheet metal repairs
Susan,
I blew a tire last year that messed up some sheet metal in and behind the wheel well.
Took it to Holiday Travel Trailer in ABQ and they did a good job fixing it up but were not cheap. They have some sheet metal in stock but had to order the molding aroung the wheel well.

OK, it's 11:40 pm, and I put everyone to bed, the fire is doused, I took a shower(great time-no waiting, plenty of hot water, privacy-ok, I'm not shy),
and I could only see a couple of trailers lit as I walked back...the rally is everything it should be, and more...sorry for those of you that got derailed...we'll tip a few for you...we're waiting for the rest of you to get here.

Givin up the ghost
Hey Peeps!
In my wildest dreams, I never expected I would be delayed this long in Las Cruces for TV repairs. I'm talking a Ford dealer here.
They say it will be ready today. But adding a 10 hour drive to whatever time they do release me I would not get me in till Sunday.
After already driving 700 miles to hang with you folks, I'm so disappointing to have to give up the ghost here.
The only consolation, the box of Rugala I bought for the pot luck, which I have been munching on .
So folks, sorry I missed this one. Safe Travels, and catch you down the road.

On our return from Texas on Thursday, we passed a 70's (?) A/S being towed by a dark/black pickup, driven by a fellow with a beard. Trailer had a tow ball or similar on the rear bumper.
We were westbound Hwy 40 somewhere near Albuquerque (plus or minus), I was wondering if they were headed for Cottenwood. Anyone recognize the description?

Michael,
What a crappy thing to happen. The good news is you were at least able to get it to a Ford dealer so one would think you have the best chance of a quality repair.
Enjoy the Rugala (?) and hope the rest of your travels are back into good times mode.

A Great Rally
Well we've had a great rally here, as expected. A great contingent. From Philadelphia to Washington to California, Arizona and Colorado and New Mexico, or Oregon too. Hope I didn't miss any one.
Just a few photos... :-) I am sure more will follow.

Thank you for a wonderful "Peep Show"
Thank you for your hospitality. I had a great time meeting all of the rally 'streamers. I am so very pleased and have great pride in being a lifetime member of the Four Corners Unit. We will all meet again.
I have a few so-so pictures to share with you.
See you on the road! Always, always have fun...and keep the margarita bubble full.
This is the first of two or three with rally pictures.
Best,
Pee Wee

Richard and Jan,
Ditto Gypsy's Kudos...you made it look effortless, and we know it wasn't. This one was incredible!!! The more we attend 4CU gatherings, the more we want...why don't we just form a wandering commune before the rest of my 'ponytail' falls out? Sign me up for next year, now, please. And, NO...don't ignore me, NO...you can't beg out. 63 people, a bit of alcohol, 40(?) pets, and no one got hurt, beat upon, or threw up in someone elses yard(it was your trailer, and your "child')...THAT'S an amazing statistic. On a serious note, there were no serious notes...helluva job(is that gonna get me a warning or threaten my votes for FCUTTQ?). If so, HECKOVA JOB, and I can have the ballots printed and delivered within the week...how many would you like ?
To all the rest of you good people, it was a wonderful experience, and we thank you for sharing yourselves with us...FCU is an amazing collection of...like-minded INDIVIDUALS...oxymoron, if I ever heard one...but our time here was, like all the FCU rallies(rallys?) we've been to: we stay a little longer afterwards, so we can still enjoy the coals...hope this will find every one healthy, happy, and forgetful that I sent this...Monday, February
18th, 03:50 AM2008...
