Yes, the Canopener is now a national Special Event Rally with the WBAC......and it’s a Forum Rally............and it’s a Facebook rally.............and it’s an everybody’s welcome Rally!!!!!

This is a way to see what sites may be opening in the next few days. Select reserve America site for topsail state park. Select calendar and choose today’s date in Dec. 30, 2019. Put in how many days you would like to stay. If no openings show up, select a site you may be interested in. Tap on blue next available date button. This should show when the site will open up again. I just selected some sites in the 80’s, there are sites showing up open in the next few days. I would suggest reserveing the site right after mid Nite! 91 shows open on the 1st Jan. 2020, which you can reserve on the 1st of Feb. 2019. Reserve early! I can’t stress this enough! I hope this helps, if I made any mistakes or confused anyone, just let me know.

I found that trying to reserve a newly opened site right after midnight does not work. Right after 8 am ET on the day 11 months in advance worked for us. Got site 103, which this past Canopener's site map showed was previously taken by a non-Airstream rally camper. [ Didn't want to poach a site one of my fellow Airstreamers had been using..... ]

Whoo-Hoo, I just scored a site.
Was hovering over the mouse at 8:00:01 and selected site 29
arriving Jan 1. (Exact time allowed for reservation)
As of now(8:22 am) there's only 2 sites left for arrival on Jan 1. (62 & 68).
Frankly, they're all nice sites, I was happy to get any spot.
The fact I'm excited about scoring a reservation 11 months in advance shows how great a park it is!

BTW, have you checked out this web site? It shows photos of all the campground sites. (Not just Topsail Hill). See your spot before you reserve!

It looks like there are 7 sites open from Feb 3-5, Friday-Monday, but you should hurry & book one in the next few minutes!

I assume that you mean January, not February 3-5. As of 9:30am today, Feb 3, there are no sites available to arrive before Friday Jan 3rd. There are six and only six sites available for even one night stay (although all six are open to stay for longer, two weeks or more). I am debating...no...grabbing one now, and hope to snag one to come in earlier (planned to arrive Dec 30, but no sites available yet). Phil

Oh, so sorry, I did mean Jan 3, 2020 for 3 days. If someone wanted to be there for just the weekend starting Friday afternoon there’s still some available sites. I know there are (usually) activities Thursday evening and Friday. Someone may still have the option to stay at a neighboring park and move to Topsail on Friday.

After scoring my reservation, I considered one of the other available sites. Even 112 came available briefly, and it's a very large pull through, 68 was closer to the clubhouse. In the end I stayed with 29.

BTW, I'd love to arrive before New Year's eve, so I'll watch when we get closer, but if your plans change, let me know. (I won't be driving on New Year's Eve with all the amateur drunks on the road.)

Yikes! Guess the REALLY early bird gets the worm...just snagged the last RV site 88 but it was unavailable for the 2nd so will be arriving on the 3rd- looking forward to it!

Attached are the most recent Site Maps for Canopener 2020. Please review and let me know if you see any changes or corrections. Sites 62 and 103 (in bold) have been registered to 2 different people, please let me know what is correct. Also, if you have secured a site through Reserve America and have not filled out the registration form, please do as map will be updated monthly.
