When you check in with me at the gate, be sure and say hello! Larry and I are a couple of the parking crew (orange shirt crew). Airstreamers are some of the friendliest people we know. If you have forgotten something, you just need to let us know. You would be surprised at the things we can "find"! And anyone wearing an orange staff shirt will be glad to help you with any problems you come across. This will be #5 Palooza for us! We have a great time!

Ann Marie and I will be there in our 2006 Interstate. Please stop by when we grab a green flag for a roving happy hour.

Lou, I think we had a forum list in one of the tents last year, I think the registration tent. I'll ask when we get there, but that seemed like a good place to have it, so maybe we can put it there again, if nobody objects.

Beth and I are also wearing orange shirts. Lou is on the mark. Anyone with a Staff shirt will get your questions answered.
If you have specific questions that weren't answered in the Get Ready Guide, just ask here or PM us.

Perhaps the Newest Newbie here
Just to set the bar at the proper height, we will be spending our first night in our 2014 27' EB at Alumapalooza 2014. This will also be my first experience backing the trailer into a site (praying for a "pull through!") And of course, breaking in our virgin tanks!

A traffic tip for any one coming up I 75 North, avoid going through Cincinnati and Dayton. There is a lot of construction in both downtowns, try to take 275 East or West around Cincinnati and 675 around Dayton.

There are few back-in sites at Alumapalooza. When you get to the gate, tell Lou this is trip#1. If they must back you in, we can find additional help...to tell you what to do. Look forward to seeing you.

When you register, the folks there, probably Beth or Lisa, can tell you where to post the AirForums list.

Introduce yourself to me at the back gate. We will be glad to help out. The only places that you may have to back into are next to fences, depending on what you need. The rest are almost all pull throughs. Larry is a retired trucker and can help you get into most any place. Terry is great too. The only other place that you may have to do is the Terraport if you are coming early. All of those are back ins.
We look forward to meeting you.
Those virgin tanks won't be so virgin after this rally!!! LOL

From all the jocularity and banter in this thread, I can tell we are going to fit right in with the Alumapalooza group!

Ok, this may be a dumb question, but are there any restroom facilities anywhere at Alumapalooza? Mainly toilets? I'm going to have to mentally prepare myself if I have to use my toilet for....ya know.....major events (and I'm not talking about the rivet competition!)

Lol!!
Becky, there are lots of port-o-potties nicely spaced around the outside area of the big field. And there are two flushing ones that are in the store/parts dept. during business hours. Looks like you will be breaking those tanks in. Oh, and there is a $$ honeydipper truck that usually comes in during the week.

If you are coming to Alumapalooza, and have never been to a rally-type activity before, be sure your fresh water tank is full, and your other tanks are empty. It may be a little while before you get water hoses and electirc power to where you will be parked, and it is nice to be able to flip the water pump on, and use the toilet and wash your hands.

I've been coming to Alumapalooza since the beginning and there has always been road construction in Cincinnati and Dayton. I don't think it ever ends. I will try the outer loops this time.
