So I cannot officially announce that we have more spaces, but what I can tell you is we are working on getting more - some of which I'm not sure they realize they have - and so I think there is a good chance they will get us some more - we will do our best to get everyone who wants to join us in, but as I said above at this point I can't promise that.

So what to do - if you want to join us, send in your deposit and we will keep you posted..

Here's hoping SOMEONE in NM has received our check. No confirmation as of yet.

ps - Jim really doesn't have a '54 for sale. As I stated to the Lofty One, I would be one deprived Supreme Airstream Goddess with only a few Airstreams to gaze upon.

pss - hoping those additional sites appear as I would LOVE to see everyone who is interested be able to attend....hang tight!

I found this guide on the Balloon Fiesta Website. It has some great information in it. If you look at the map on page 6, we will be located in the RV parking area near Gate 7 on the lower left side of the map.

The Four Corners Unit Balloon Fiesta Rally has NOT been canceled –

Imagine our surprise when we received several e-mails asking me about the cancellation of the Balloon Fiesta Rally – I went on line and sure enough the Blue Beret is reporting the Balloon Fiesta Rally has been canceled - the rally that has been canceled is another rally that was going to be held across town…

So the only rally that is on the Fiesta grounds is NOT canceled and we are looking forward to a great time!

Thanks for the update - and as far as our whereabouts, we just got back home after a 2-year hiatus, its great to be back in Placitas.

Just saw this today for the first time. Apparently I'm not spending enough time on the forums. I'll be sending a check today in hopes of getting a spot if it opens up. We had to pass on the resto rally this year so we really want to make this.

Hi Ken,
Just brought our '67 Ambassador to Colorado from the East Coast last fall.
We are going to our first Airstream rally this weekend at "Walker's Ranch" with the Denver unit.
We are sending in our check for the Balloon Fiesta in hopes that you can get more spaces. Hope to see you in October! I think it will be a great first visit to New Mexico.

I have been out on vacation for the past week or so - I have a number of reservations here that I have not logged in yet - I will do so this weekend and notify all whom I have received - all reservations at this point are on a waiting list - I'm going to call the fiesta folks and get an update on addtional spots

Contact Ken J here on the forums...he is the rally host...see what he can do for you. I know he has been talking to the Fiesta folks about more spaces...

The restoration rally is winding down and Ken will need a little time to recover from a weekend of non stop action. Ken should be getting back to everyone shortly.

Luigi and others,

Although it appears there was talk of the rally getting as many as 125 spaces, the original allotment was right around 100. This event is growing fast and this year spaces got filled very fast. Last year there were still openings into summer.

Ken has posted that he is trying to get more spaces opened for us and has reported on that as yet because he does have a life other than this rally. Last I saw he was holding on to applications for spaces as the festival organizers hadn't released more spaces. I don't think I saw any talk of 150 spaces.

You'll just have to be patient and if you want to try to get a space, send the stuff into Ken.

I hope I got this right since there seems to be confusion of what is available.

This has truly become one of the most popular events for Airstreamers and should be on your Bucket List! We've got our fingers crossed and are hoping the Fiesta folks throw a few more spots our way. Your best bet is to complete the form, attach your check, and send it to Ken. He will take names/wait list based on post mark! Your check WILL NOT be cashed unless you are booked into the rally.

Thank you, I appreciate the response. I will move on and make other arrangements for this event. Maybe in the years to come I can find a way to join in the fun. Patience usually works for those that wait. Hope to see many of you there. Travel safe shiny side up.
