HEADS UP EVERYONE! Coming to and going home from the Fiesta you will find Albuquerque and surrounding areas, including Santa Fe to the north; parts east and south of ABQ; and the I-40 corridor between ABQ and Cali, busy with trailer traffic. We would like to encourage you to make your reservations as soon as possible for Thursday, October 3 AND for Tuesday, October 8 when you depart the Fiesta.

This popular event runs two weekends and the week in between and draws about a million attendees. We want to make sure everyone has an enjoyable experience coming to and heading home.

Slvr', there should be a waiting list. There are usually cancellations. Go to the beginning of the thread to see how to sign up.

I think you'll have to fill out the form and send it in with a check. Look at post #1 for details and to download the form.

We do currently have a few spots open as we have had some cancellations - they will get filled quicky though - so best to get your registration in as soon as you can.

Ken,
The check is in the mail, as the saying goes. If you can find a spot for us we would be so grateful. My wife and I are retiring after 30+ years of teaching and we have never been able to go to some of the cool fall events and the balloon fiesta has always been on the top of our list. Also in June we will almost be neighbors as we are moving to our home in Mountainair, NM.

Dogs are permitted, but they must be on a leash and picked up after. Dogs are not permitted past the gate to the field.

We have two large dogs and we board them in Albuquerque during the event. They stay at Camp Bow Wow and have a great time. We also get to watch them via my smart phone.

Since I have not been and do not know the lay of the land I need clarification. You say dogs are permitted. But not past gate and you board your dogs.

I can not board my dog
(wish I could let someone else deal with her)

Is gate before or after where the Airstreams are rally parked?
If I bring my dog in my Airstream and park with the A/S rally group is she allowed in this rally parking area?

MsRivet, The Airstreams are parked outside the gate to the field. The dogs are allowed in the area where we will be parked. They are not allowed inside the gate to the launch field - where the vendor tents are and where the balloons launch from.
