2013 Albuquerque International Balloon Fiesta Rally co-sponsored by the Four Corners Unit and the CentralCoastCalifornia units is on! We will be camping beach front right on the grounds of the Balloon Fiesta. Since we are a large group, we get the best seats in the house. If you have never been before, this is a great opportunity to see this event close up - the balloons will be taking off yards from your front door.

The dates are to arrive October 4th and leave the morning of Oct 8th. The cost is $350 which INCLUDES FREE (which alone would cost almost $200 if you were not camping with us) entry to all events for 2 people. The only thing we charge is $10 to cover our expenses for making this event special for you - which means you would pay the same if you were to stay there on your own.

Don’t miss the early morning Dawn Patrol where a dozen balloons light up the pre-dawn sky. Next up is Mass Ascension where you will see hundreds of balloons take to the sky. The best part is that you are not sitting in grandstands taking in the action from a distance but you are right on the field watching as balloon crews set up their balloons and take off. The evening brings more balloons and fireworks!

We have 200 spots reserved – this is a BIG Airstream event, this is the ONLY Airstream event that is parked on the fiesta field. You cannot get any closer than we are. It is my understand that several have called the balloon folks have were told they are full – so we may have the only spots available. Half of the spots are already reserved by past attendees ! So don’t hesitate if you want a spot.

½ of the fee ($175.00) is due at this time (The other half is due sometime in July). After that point I can’t promise a spot although the past we have been able to accept later reservations – it just depends on how they fill up.

A fresh water truck and pump out service is available, however there are no elec hookups. Generators are ok and solar works great.

This is the perfect family rally so bring the parents, grandparents, kids, pets and lets have a great time at this VERY popular and NOT TO MISS event! Don’t forget your camera!

Attached is the sign up sheet – and please please write your e-mail clearly so I can read it because that’s how we will communicate with you and let you know whats going on prior to the fiesta – you will receive several updates as we get closer to Balloon Fiesta!

Ask anyone who has attended this great event before and they will tell you that you just cannot describe it – you just have to be there.

Here's what you need to know about the 42nd International Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta:

Dates:Arrive October 4; depart October 8, 2013 – must arrive at our gathering point by 11:00 am on the 4th
Where:Albuquerque, New Mexico; Fiesta Field
Costs:$340.00 for four nights plus $10 rally fee. This includes two tickets per Airstream. Need more? You may purchase tickets at the event.
Other info:Generators OK, preferably non-commercial (noisy) generators. Pets OK.
Fine print:Refund policy, established by the City of Albuquerque: $10.00 up to July 14; 50% refund July 15 through August 31st; absolutely no refunds after August 31.

Well - duh - when one of the orginal organizers of the event does not show up, we guilt him into make sure he doesn't make that mistake again

After all, he would not be happily married, if it were not for this event

(ok maybe we are taking too much credit here - but its kinda sorta true)

We are in too!!!! Sent my check a couple weeks ago. Very excited about this event. Heard so many great things about it. I hope we have some solar by then b/c we are trying not to buy a generator. If we don't have solar, this Newbie won't know what to do!!!
