Shipping costs

The company sent me a reply saying the shipping costs would be refunded by check - I think they're good for it.

Hey John Irwin,

Will your travels from PA back to TX take you close to Richmond, VA? Would love to see your A/S if your time / travel permits.
We are close to ordering our first A/S! A 19' safari or ccd. The advice on towing made our choice easy. We have seen the 19 safari , but would like to see the ccd before we make up our mind.

Thanks to you and all the others who have helped us get to this point!
Abe

The museum is on my list. I am a contributing member of the museum. I visited there for 2 days a few years back. Right now, I'm eager go again to see the new buildings and to visit all the planes I have flown over the years.

My first visit to the museum was in about 1963. My squadrom commander and I flew into Wright-Pat in a C-119; along with the crew chief, we spent a few hours at the museum. Back then, the museum was just a ratty old hanger and just about all the planes were sitting out in the weather.

Keeping the thread hot

Three weeks into August and no sign of the rumored early-August mailout from Airstream. I, for one, would like to have some idea of the day to day schedule.

A/S Homecoming

Our we the only ones that doesn't understand? We received our so called A/S Homecoming info the other day & it mainly consisted of the same things as shown on their web page. We STILL have no idea what is covered & not covered by the rally fee or what activities is scheduled. We were hoping for more info from A/S, as aren't they the ones that promote rallies? Does anyone have more rally info to share ?
Best,

John,
I have to travel that section of I-81 from Stanton VA to Bristol VA about two times per month. It is very busy, Over 50% of the traffic is tractor trailers and they ususlly in a hurry! What we do when we come to a back up is to exit onto RT 11, It runs parallel to I-81 and except for the small towns it is usually 55 mph. We watch the T/T and when we see several exiting we know that there is some type of traffic problem ahead. Hope this helps.

Wink

Am I the only one? Came in from my shop this evening & had a voice mail from A/S regarding the homecoming. No wonder I haven't heard from them regarding what events are covered, etc. The voice mail said the Homecoming is now postponed till the Spring of 04 & to let them know if I want my money refunded? Sometimes I worry about A/S & their mental health condition.

Best

Homecoming?

Hey folks! Since when do you need AS to hold a get together?? Just because they decided to postpone the thing does not mean that you all can't get together anyway! There are plenty of places in the vicinity to camp. Seems that many of you were thinking of stopping in or passing through anyway, so why not just meet somewhere?
This past month we stopped by Jackson Center, but did not stay "on campus" with our Minuet. We found a lovely state park called Grand Lake St. Mary's which is not too far. It had great sites, plenty of flat space, paved and shade. The showers and toilet facilities were great and CLEAN! There is a beautiful lake there. It is located between Celina and St. Mary, OH. 14 mi. west of I-75, and about 29 mi. from Jackson Center. We visited Wright Patterson and saw the Neil Armstrong Museum. Lima has a nice train exhibit too.
We noted that there are other SPs that are also close by. Maybe some of the rest of you have been to some thereabouts??
Would love to do it all again and meet up some of you. How about it?

when we lived in Napoleon Ohio, Lake St. Mary SP was one of the first places we camped. Man---has that been some time since that happen. If we are going to get a "happening" going, we would need to know asap, as we are now in the trip change mode & the wife needs to know regarding days off. Would be nice if you can pull it off & we could fill the park with A/S. We don't REALLY need to stay at Jackson Center to have fun. Keep us posted on your progress.
Best,

somebody done this before??

Do SPs let you reserve areas for specific dates?
What kind of sites are needed?
And how many?
Dates?

We have never done any of this kind of setting up for a "happening". What has to be done?

If someone has done this before please step forward.

We did notice that they had lots of activities there at the park.
Larry says 30 amp electric service at the site we were on.
