Air Members going to Bozeman

I've searched the forums and can't find a simple thread on Airforums members who will be attending the WBCCI International in Bozeman, MT this year.
It would help in meeting each other, and locating each other for happy hour

So here it is, who's going?

PS, there are plenty of sparing threads on who's not going, why their not going, the WBCCI and its politics, the joy of clothing optional parks, etc.

Let's keep this thread simple

Michael

Michael,

We are going, will be at the VAC assembly on June 26, in the parade on June 27 and parked with the VAC for the International. Come by and say Hi. I will be starting a "Traveling to Bozeman with friends" thread next month.

Hope to meet you and many other Airstream friends.

SYDTR,

Bill

Matt & Beth,

I don't believe that there is a dog section any longer.

Hi Michael:

I'll be going and will be parking in the VAC 3 amp. low rent section, hopefully in my "new" 1951 21' Flying Cloud. It will be great to see you again after meeting you on the factory tour in JC over 2 years ago.

Fred,

That is great, I am looking forward to finally meeting you. I told Paul Mierop that I would get a picture of you and me with PowerWagon Syrup for the Travels with Syrup Pictures, in front of your Flying Cloud would be fantastic.

It's TOO COOL when two hobbies mesh and one photo can serve two purposes. Bill, I really looking forward to finally meeting you and your wife in person at Bozeman! Sorry I had to bail out of the Salem International, it just didn't work out for me. See you in 5 months! Wally on!

They need to select more centrally located sites in the future.

The whole 4th of July time table is hard on the big family barbecues on that weekend

Too far from the east coast, with 3+ bucks a gallon.

So no I'll take a pass

Bob,

Unfortunately with a country which is 3,000 miles wide, central for some is too far for others. Vermont, Michigan, Missouri and Georgia were too far for us. Salem, Bozeman and Gillette do work, sorry they don't work for you.

Great idea Bill! When Luke B. and I retrieved my '51 Flying Cloud two weeks ago, we stayed in motels that featured large single waffle makers at their continental breakfast counter. I'll whisper in Luke's ear about powering a few 120 VAC waffle makers with quiet Honda generators, and I'll bet he comes up with a solution that will allow us to pour maple syrup.

As for the cocktail hour gatherings that Michael mentioned, the VAC always takes care of its own, and welcomes others who like to imbibe and chat, under its big outdoor tent. That's where I can be Happily found.

Fred,

If this gets to be too big of an event, it may become BYOMS (bring your own maple syrup). Since Paul has retired, I have to ration my small remaining supply, but PowerWagon friends are always welcome to share. How about a pot luck waffle lunch after one of the VAC meetings?

Regarding the VAC happy hours, everyone is welcome, just bring your vintage attitude.

Bill

Michael,
We will be up in that area, but will probably only be spending a couple of days at the rally. Claxton's (2aspirin)--you met them at the Branson Fall Rally--will be with us. I assume additional info will be forthcoming on this thread as to where & when the Air "get together" might be. I look forward to seeing you again.

We'll be there. We are on the first timer's committee and we are first timer ourselves.

Michael: Are you going to design some cool shirts for Bozeman? Loved the Can Opener shirts.
