current position
Current position:
Keycee,WY
Great little trailer park. $10.00 a nite/passport america.
Casper,WY is small and even though very built up is not big rig friendly. That goes for the truck stops and gas stations too!
Wish you yere here,

You don't know how bad I would love to go.Bozeman was my first Int'l and you know what they say about your first time...you never forget .I have been lucky enough to attend 11 Int'ls with 2 of them in Bozeman and I have nothing but fond memories of the area and the friendships made.
I still have my sense of adventure but I don't think my boss feels the same way. I will have to get my fix by dropping in on the R1 rally in August. It is probably around 2900 miles closer.
Have fun.

Arrived
Arrived in the "Bull Pen" this afternoon and check-in and parking went smoother then (think of something very smooth and plug it in here), everyone is very friendly and helpful!
Bozeman has all the last minute shopping stops in case you forgot anything, Target, Wal, Home Depot, Lowes, and borders bookstore. All the parking lots are big rig friendly.
Verzion has full bar service.
I am parked in the first row by the street (RED 1) two trailer from the corner.
Call me (917) 806-0566
Wish you were here,
Michael

Thanks for all the support I now think I will come 2 days late on Monday, week from today a little late but Hope that won't be problem. Had to go to Cabellas, the last couple of days ln Sidney Ne,to pick up some last minute items for later this year. Being in the Bull Pen sounds kind of ominous , but being a Rancher and all would put me unfortunately right back at home,LOL,A Day late on Monday would be my next target date. Than I wouldn't have to rush and could be my usual late self. I'm glad Bozeman is a TT friendly area, C

Hola There
So there I was on US Hwy 40/287 just one mile from Kit Carson, Colo. I have the CB on Channel 14 and it starts to chatter. I know it is an AS person complaining about the traffic being stopped to wait for the "Pilot Car".
As quick as that Christmas Story guy I sprang down the line of traffic until I see them ... AirStreams heading towards Montana. This makes my day and they tell me they are from Texas. The "Pilot Car" returns and they leave for fun & adventure.
Then thirty min's later another group of traveler's arrive heading to Montana too. This group say they are from Louisiana. Again the "Pilot Car" returns and this group takes off to continue their adventure to be.
I do hope that I get to see any of the AS's returning.

Aloha;
We have decided on the spur of the moment to go to the Bozeman Rally. We are in Oregon at the moment and will be driving towards MT later today. Is there anything we have to do before we arrive? As I understand it, it is too late to pre-register. Also, how do we find the Rally once we get to Bozman?
Thanks Pat & Pete
PS, As you can see I've only posted a couple of times. We were looking for an Airstream this spring, then decided to put off the purchase because of rising gas prices. However, on our way out to California we found the Airstream of our dreams and traded in the pop-up, and here we are. Why yes, we are impulsive.

Soon
We are parked at Grizzly RV park in West Yellowstone and plan to go on up to Bozeman quite early on the 27th.
This RV park is at least tied for the nicest park I have ever tied up in.
We have one more day of touring Yellowstone. Had a great day today and between the two of us we took well over 100 photos.

Wow! Many of you having a great time in our favorite part of the country: Wyoming and Montana. Enjoy it to the max for all of us stay-at-home'ers who miss the wide open spaces, deep deep broad broad skies, mountains, glaciers, rivers and all! Best wishes for safe travels and late night campfires. ~G

Air Members going to Bozeman
Five days of touring Yellowstone with Fishing Bridge RV Park as our headquarters brought us into Bozeman this evening. Three of our Wisconsin Unit Caravan have already arrived here at the Bozeman KOA to join a large number of VAC members who have arrived early for tomorrow's pre-rally.
Rain threatened for a time here at Bozeman KOA, but the rain clouds blew over and the evening cool-down is beginning.

Finding the Rally Site
Greetings Pat and Pete!

As you approach the rally site there will be signs posted along all major routes (WBCCI with an arrow directing your travel). If you are nearing Bozeman and feel that you need additional direction, you can contact Wally Byam Control via Citizen Band Radio on chanel 14 -- they will be able to give you concise directions to get you to the bull-pen (place where you go upon initial arrival) from any of the nearby major highways. If you have one of the recent Blue Beret's, you will find information there -- there are also directions posted on the WBCCI.org website.
I am sure that you will enjoy your trip, and it is looking like we may have some fabulous weather for the rally.
