Hey!... it think we passed your caravan on our way out. Somewhere just North of Ellsworth on route 1A. There were five of you I think....maybe four.
We were in a black Excursion with two canoes on the roof towing a 25' SS International. It was nice to see a few Airstreams. You just don't see to many on the road. On the whole first half of our trip from Virginia to Maine we didn't see a single one on the road. Saw a couple on the way back other than yours though.
Funny I never saw this thread...I haven't been reading this forum too much lately. We were planning on going to Acadia this week but the 35' sites where all booked....now I see why
. Anyway we moved it back a week. Sorry we missed you guys.
Hope you have good Weather. We were there for three days and it was pretty foggy and wet for most of the time...not too much rain but you couldnt see much.
Getting a bit off topic here but we spent the three prior nights in the North Maine Woods. Very COOL up there. We had to drive about 50 miles of off the grid gravel roads but we got an entire lake to ourselves....not another soul on it. The roads where private and gravel but well maintained. We got to park the Airstream about 20 feet from a beautiful natural lake...and I could run the generator whenever I wanted
. We saw a couple of moose up there also.
Anyway just some food for thought for anyone who is looking to get out off the beaten path.
Here are a few of pics if anyone is interested. The first two where taken about thirty feet from the camper at the edge of the lake and the third was taken from same spot looking back up at the Airstream.
